We wouldn't want either of us to be unhappy either, so it was for the best really.” Now that was a lie, if only because Gren had no idea what the truth would've been. Soon after his food was served the girl's left to visit Oswald. Gren ate quickly and returned to his dorm to get Oswald a present. If Gren had time he would've made him a cake or maybe some steak, but Gren decided to be more practical. He brought a crate of Dust that Gren normally breaks down into his bullets, but right now they were still solid crystals. Taking a short cut Gren eventually arrived to Oswald’s dorm. He came in through the window and managed to get some of Oswald’s announcement. Cobalt left the team, leaving them without a captain. Not only that but Oswald looked rather beat to shit. But then again they did come from what Gren heard was a pretty violent mission. Gren suppose he should be glad the only real “casualty” they had was Sapphire. ”Earning your keep ain't ya Oswald?” Gren laid his present for Oswald near the foot of his bed, standing off to the side and observe the extent of Oswald's injuries. Once Gren got his eyeful the faunas offered his help. ”With your leader gone and you beat to shit, I think it's time you got an upgrade. I hate seeing my friends in such a miserable state. So,” Gren took out his business card and offered it to Oswald. He'd need to reach out just a bit to take it. ”When you're feeling better, give me a call. We can work on something together. As Emerald can attest, I'm alright at what I do. Is there anything you’d like from me?” Gren hate to see stuff like this and feel useless about it. If there was anything he could do about it right now, he'll give it a try. [@MULTI_MEDIA_MAN][@Abillioncats][@FlitterFaux] Later That Night It's been a long night for Gren. In the span of just eight hours he lost his entire team. Shiro went missing. Abel suddenly resigned. Sapphire was last seen leaving with her family. Suddenly, team Swansong was no more. Gren was asked to vacate the dorm as soon as possible, which was fairly easy thanks to his strength, hasten by the fact his mind was too numb to think further about what happened. His body just acted mechanically and took his things to the singles dorms, and by the time he finished he truly felt lost. Gren couldn't deny that he didn't like Sapphire, but to hear her just leave without even a word of warning… It left him with a hollow victory. Shiro vanished as well. Gren always knew Shiro had issues and now Gren felt as if he wasn't there for Shiro when the boy would need it the most. And Abel… Gren didn't have a lot of strong for Abel, but that only made Gren feel worse knowing that he neglected him. The room Gren moved in was about a third the size of their team dorm. While that meant more space for him, it ultimately felt smaller without the others. His only company was Scoot. Bless his little heart, Scoot had no idea what happened to the others. The little fellow crawled onto Gren’s shoulder asking for fun and games. ”Sure thing little man.” As Gren had no bed, he rigged up one for Scoot. It was a bed and playhouse all in one: a big box filled with packing peanuts. The little guy sprang inside and burrowed to his heart's content, popping in and out as Gren lightly tried to tap him on the nose. Eventually however Gren had to stop playing and finish setting his room in order. His workbench was set, his desktop in order, chair rebuilt, and his mini fridge standing alone against the wall. Gren suppose he could buy himself some extra cooking stuff, perhaps a table and a hot plate or microwave oven. He'll figure it out later. The night came to an end and Gren peered outside. He was no stranger to the feeling of lost and knew that he'll have to move on. He had good memories and he had bad ones. He'll do his best never to forget them. As lights went off and people went to bed Gren went to his chair and entered his sleep mode. Tomorrow he'll have to get back to the old grind. That Morning Gren awoke and started his day as if normal. He woke up, used the bathroom, and made breakfast for himself. For Scoot, Gren gave him some scraps as well as filled his bowl with water and ferret food. Gren didn't actually know that Scoot goes out on adventures when Gren was gone, as the boar faunas never knew Scoot was clever enough to escape the room on his own. Gren blazed through his classes mechanically. No real questions or attempts to involve himself in class, just took recording, notes, and thought to himself. Try as he might Gren had to consider what to do not that he was essentially flying solo. Firstly he really needed to get friendly with other teams. While he was fine working alone, without a team Gren would go crazy on his own. Next he needed to really focus on improving his equipment. No team meant no teamwork, so all of Gren’s weaknesses were exposed. He needed to be faster, he needed more firepower, and he needed to improve his radars. Easier said than done of course, but now he needed to double his efforts. Fortunately for Gren his fourth period class was Armory, the perfect place to upgrade his resources. While his first thoughts were to work on his Jetpack, Gren needed to be more realistic about what can be accomplished. With no breakthrough trying to work on his jetpack would just be a waste of time. Gren would be better off increasing his firing power or even upgrading his body mods. Gren’s family delivered his old Gatling Gun from home, so that was loads of materials for his gun. But before he could go and start working on his weapon Gren sat down at the tables, waiting for class to begin.
