He isn't as vigorous in belief and intention as his fellow villains. Rather than that, he lives for the fight. He isn't exactly evil, but events that took place before the timeframe of the original content prompted him to become a bad guy. At heart, he is just a simple person who enjoys pancakes and walks on a quiet Sunday morning. Normally, he is a quiet and reserved individual who stays away from any kind of trouble. However, he can break that facade if he wanted to. He'd be intimidating at one moment and seductive during the other. If there's anybody in the series that would be considered Lawful Evil, it would be him. Plot Summary of Original Content: Video Game, Action, Fantasy Backstory:
They say that every 1000 years, a man with tremendous power is born. One who could go toe-to-toe with the gods themselves. He would function as an envoy from the heavens and usher the world into a golden age of its own. In the year of 201X, a worldwide competition was held for the purpose of finding this so-called messiah. The public would not know what the true purpose of the prestigious event was, so countless people attempted to enter it. Furthermore, numerous organizations which would otherwise be secretive in their actions decided to participate. As a result, the tournament attracted a wide palette of competitors, including supernatural martial artists, military cyborgs, and even wizards. The "Fighter Of The Millennium" tournament was held by the shady BigCorp (generic name) and was presided over by mysterious individuals simply known as "Judges". Old Man Benjamin was enlisted as one of these judges. Let's fast forward towards the finale. It is revealed that the organizers of the event were planning to use edge-cutting technology in order to clone the messiah and use the clone in a not-so-well-planned world domination scheme. They had planned to build their own "utopia" from the beginning, in order to "fulfill the heavenly mandate". Eventually, the competitors went to fight the judges, and all-out war commenced. That's where Old Man Benjamin makes his mark. The fighting game wherein the events took place in was created at a time when the SNK boss syndrome was in the air. As a result, the bosses were extremely hard to defeat. A player would have to fight Ben two times: in the first fight, he would only use his hands, supposedly making him easier to defeat. However, his quick attacks and handy arsenal of counter moves would make the fight remarkably hard. In the second fight, he would begin using his legs and unleash a barrage of high-priority kick attacks. Aside from that, he had specials that were blockable, but would defeat your character in one hit. And it your difficulty was high enough, the AI would be able to read your inputs. That made Ben able to counter almost all of your attempts to land a proper hit. Fortunately, he was actually possible to defeat. If you beat him, you would unlock him as a playable character. The endings of the regular characters involved the conspiracy behind the tournament being revealed and the selected character living happily ever after. On the other hand, the endings of the unlockable characters portray a worldwide dystopia controlled by BigCorp. Ben's ending reveals something shocking: the main character was Ben's son all along. And he never knew it. We see Ben talking to his son's grave. However, that in-game reality wouldn't suffice. Fighter Of The Millennium would become a well-respected classic among fighting games and spawn sequels of its own. The main cast returned over and over again to see more action, but Ben had canonically died. To be honest, nobody wanted to fight a boss like Ben anymore. Rumors do confirm that the next game will involve alternate realities. If that came true, Ben would most likely come back. But since you are the all-knowing and omniscient reader, you gain access to facts that the general populace in this story don't know about. The people at BigCorp actually anticipated their probable defeat, so they used a powerful artifact to split reality itself into two. In one reality, the contestants won and all ended up well. In the other one, the contestants were annihilated, and BigCorp succeeded with their original plan thus unifying the world into a single society to be ruled by them. Ben survived in the latter, but was killed in the former. With that said, The Shrouded One would still be able to somehow find him.

Weapons, Skills, and Abilities

Superhuman Traits: Old Man Ben has superhuman strength, enhanced physical and mental agility, and quick reflexes. His strength is his defining factor, though. He'd beat a much younger bodybuilder in a weightlifting contest effortlessly any day. A punch from him would most likely crack your skull.
Impact Shift: He can shift the impact of his attacks through solid objects and thin air. Talk about "throwing" a punch at someone the way you would throw an object. In the game, he had one particular special wherein he would punch the enemy in the stomach and shift the impact of the punch to the enemy's vital points, thus causing a one-hit KO. Just imagine Kenshiro from The Fist Of The North Star compress the entire ATATATATATATATATA into one HUAAAA and you get the concept. There were also scenes depicting him mowing down entire gangs simply by letting the impact of his punches fly wild.
Hardened Body: His body is far from fragile, and he can withstand a blow to the abdomen without coughing up blood at all. He has a slight resistance to the elements.
He's a traveler, as evidenced by his nifty collection of stamps. He knows stuff.
