Annabelle Valentine Fourth period: Armory class
First day of classes and... already not off to a good start. Her entire morning had been lost to a storm of misery and regret. Annabelle was a girl that showed restraint in few aspects of life. She knew this and chose to embrace this, as opposed to stressing over every little thing she said or did. However, one of the few things she did take care with (up until last night), was one of her favorite bad habits: drinking. She had already learned a while back that booze, tempered with proper pacing and half a mind on proper nutrition and hydration, was pretty much bottled fun. But in this case there was a such thing as too much fun. Her sensei, Alcohol Poisoning, had given her the crash course on this subject. It was one of the few lessons she took to heart. Or so she had thought. But here she was, fourth period on her first day as a student at Beacon Academy, only just now starting to calm the Hangover Demon. Three periods and a lunch break had been wasted as the walking dead. She was pretty sure everyone thought she was an antisocial slacker; she'd barely been able to talk to anyone or focus on her classes. She was already off to such a bad start. Ugh! I only have myself to blame, no handy scapegoats this time. I know I start walking that edge, that's the time to call it quits. But... She remembered how everyone had looked last night; like they really needed to get their minds off of everything they had been through. Not surprising. Whatever happened before Anna's arrival, last night was very eventful. And the more drunk and silly she became, the easier it had been for them to forget some of what was eating them and enjoy themselves. At least she hoped...
Yesterday
Annabelle nodded and smiled sadly at Gren. Emerald had dealt with the girlfriend tragedy fairly well. Of course then she started on about the Boogeyman and Anna felt certain she was missing some kind of inside joke. At least I can understand the correlation between grumpiness and Cheerios. But seriously, Emmie, who could muster much of a backbone faced with how cute you are? As they left Annabelle noticed or rather sensed something needed her attention. But what? Anna felt she had a weird sort of seventh sense that cued her in to all sorts of oddities. She staunchly rejected the possibility that things she had observed subconsciously were the cause of these moments. A seventh sense was just infinitely cooler. The luchadora! Annabelle moved on instinct, and acted before she even thought. She strode right up to the girl, leaned down, took her gently by the chin... and kissed her full on the lips. Pulling back Anna looked her right in the eyes. "I believe in you." Mmmmm, wow, seventh sense... you just made me kiss a strange girl on the lips. We need to sit down and talk. She turned to leave, her work here done, and then she saw the other girl with the purple hair. Uh oh. Is that her girlfriend? No wait this is the woman (not girl) Shuai called 'teach'. ... .... Hold up, She is a teacher!? "Wow, I hope I look as good as you when I get older." With that Annabelle caught up with Emerald and followed her to her dorm, never once looking back. It seemed only her teammate Oswald was there at the moment and Annabelle greeted him cheerily, and without any kissing. He looked a bit too beat up for that sort of thing at the moment. Also the atmosphere wasnt good for it, Oswald had some serious news to drop on poor Emerald. At least Gren came back, though the window no less, and with gifts for Oswald. Aaaww. The subject of upgrading Oz came up an Annabelle threw in her offer to help alongside Green's, without even thinking. Less innuendos this time, though. That ship had kinda sailed. And she got to meet Emerald's parents at one point. Are they my soul parents now? How does that work? But the news they brought their daughter was mind blowing on an atomic scale. Anna didn't know how to take that news and poor Emmie just... didn't. It was actually kind of scary, watching her faint like that. Thankfully she wasn't injured or anything but now Anna was concerned for her sister. Both her and Ozzie are in rough shape, and that's a lot of shocking news in one day, too. I should, no, I need to do something. If I've ever seen anyone in need of a distraction from reality these are they. By a long shot Asking to borrow one of Emerald's hoodie's -Wow, this smells nice.- Anna excused herself. She had some shopping to do. Her first stop: right back to the seniors food stand to offer to buy anything they didn't sell today. She also left her number with Shuai so he could reach her on that matter. She didn't see the luchadora again, but that made sense. She had ass to kick, after all. Next was a quick stop at a good old fashioned department store for the cheaper party related necessities and some videos to watch, just in case her company wasn't somehow entertaining enough. They were a mess... She threw some games into the mix, too. Thinking about it, Anna wasn't sure if she had seen a TV in their room, so she ordered one of those just to be safe. Finally was the trashy kind of snacks that brought regrets and we're only acceptable for nights like this. And while she was at it... a few choice bottles of wines, whiskey, and some good old fashioned beer. She didn't know if the others drank or if they should in their condition, but hopefully they wouldn't mind if she did. With that, and a generous amount of employee assistance, Anna got herself and the goodies back to the dorm room. She was disappointed to find Gren had left, he seemed like the kind of guy for festivities. But he probably did have a lot of other things to do. Like tinkering or other Gren related activities. Besides she could always catch up with him later. Right now, she had some lives to brighten up. The rest of the night went at least half as well as she hoped. And she was pretty sure she had gotten at least one or two real smiles out of Oswald. But by then she had been very, very drunk.
Tuesday
On the bright side, the super bright best scenario ever side, Annabelle had found out she had been placed in team Dandelion this morning. While she had felt like throwing up from stupidly bouncing in excitement, that news had gotten her out of bed and given her the strength to dress herself up like a normal human. And now she was finally feeling better and heading into Armory class, which she had been looking forward to for a long time. You know, the academy uniforms are pretty cute, too. Glad I went with blonde today. Goes well with it. Oh! Didn't Emmie say she was in Armory, too? Finally, my day is turning around!
