A Job to Do...
CollectorOfMyst Markus, Zoe, Nathan "Are you armed and ready?" Markus flashed a small smile at the man, before switching his visor's 'channel' from observation to targeting. Several small targets appeared on Nathan's body, letting Markus know where to aim to get weak spots or vitals. Of course, Nathan couldn't see them. "It might not be tear gas, but what weapons I have should do." he said. Then, as an afterthought, he added, "Thanks for the tipoff, Archive. By-the-by, Zoe wanted a chat." ʏᴏᴜ ᴀʀᴇ ᴡᴇʟᴄᴏᴍᴇ, ᴍᴀʀᴋᴜs. ɪ ᴡɪʟʟ ᴄᴏɴᴛᴀᴄᴛ ʜᴇʀ. Putting his hand over Nathan's, he glanced at the older man. "A word of advice - don't try to run secret scans on the guy who updates the A.I.s Virus protection programs. Since you aren't familiar with my trade, I'll just inform you that malware is sort of my deal." Then, walking towards where Megelis had disappeared, he began watching the corridor for the swordsman's return. He had no idea when Megelis would come back, but the sooner he did the better. Less time for Markus' social anxieties to kick in. "Besides, I'm not meant to be fighting on this mission. I've got no magic and I'm not exactly 'combat-trained'. The reason I'm more valuable, as Megelis put it, is because I'm a hacker. Which you know, now. And I'll be trying to hack into video logs, computers, maybe even a couple of doors. You're supposed to protect me while I and whoever else might be on this mission get as much info as we can." Turning around to face Nathan and Michael again, he decided that was enough monologuing for now. "But, enough about me. Since you know how I got hired, how did the two of you end up here? I doubt that it was the same way I got in, that's for sure.
