Shiranui had Manectric and Bakeru healed and was thinking about the next contest, held at Cinnabar Island.  The thought of that place brought to his mind memories of the last time he was there from exploring the Pokémon Mansion to battling Blaine on a battlefield that was suspended over a lava pit in the crater of the volcano.
