The old man calmly looked at the other woman, smiling sheepishly. "Just surprised to see friendly faces, that's all. I'll try to not repeat myself too much." Alexander said to her, his eyes noticing the sidearm she holstered as she spoke. Neither of them were pointing guns at him, which was a good sign. Perhaps it wasn't Alexander's time to kick the bucket yet after all? The woman who intruced herself as Thalia, continued to tell him her previous occupation - presumably before the world went to Hell, nobody used a title like that now probably -, before she asked him if he had 'any friends' out there. Her eyes looked at him as if she was searching for something on him, or in him. Perhaps she was really good at seeing if people were lying or not? But before Alexander could answer, Lola interupted Thalia from her interrogation, though he wished she could given him some other name than "the old coot". But he guessed he had better things than to argue with a woman over names, especially when said woman had a tank. "No problem, I see why you'd ask me that. Would have done the same in your position." Alexander answered to both Lola and Thalia, though he wasn't sure if Lola cared for his answer as she told him to get up on the tank and warm himself; he wasn't going to ask twice, though he was slightly disappointed that she kept the coco to herself. Then again, the tank spoke for itself. "Thanks again, thought I had left the cold back home in Chicago for good. Anyway, name's Alexander, Thalia. And the short answer is no. Long answer is no, not for a while. Been alone for...geeze, can't remember by now. And it's not because I'm old, thank you very much." His voice and face seemed stern at first, but it was eased up by a short chuckle as he warmed his hands over the warm grill. "Mind if I ask you something too, ladies?" Alexander turned to Lola, but she had suddenly commenced to sing an old Cole Porter song. He raised an eyebrow, looking from Hola over to Thalia as if asking if this was normal. But vocally he asked something else. "How are you still having an operational Stuart these days? And do you know where those are coming from?" He raised his hand in the direction of the pillars of smoke in the south, hoping they had more answers than him.
