[i]Lucinda grew up around animals - her family owns great swathes of Scottish highland and uses it breed all manner of creatures though Lucinda's ancestors first began using the land to train and breed Golden Snidgets (for their use in Quidditch). Lucinda is the only child - only heir (since her uncle has no children) - of the Láidir family and, as such, the family endeavour to bring out the confidence and independence required. 

Lucinda rarely interacts with muggles, hikers occasionally wander onto their land but are soon directed away with wards and the illusion of dangerous ground. Her Father sometimes jokes about keeping them on the land but her mother is of the opinion "muggles need no help in breeding thank you very much!". Lucinda doesn't hate muggles but she does feel for them, as an able bodied person might if seeing someone who was missing limbs.
