Payton
Payton was happy to sit back in his chair and let the kids socialize. However, one showed up late, slamming the door open and making a big commotion. "Excuse me, you need to be here on time and if you are late then you'll need to be quiet when you come in. Let's not forget that this is an alternative to jail, so unless you would like to leave and try that instead, I suggest you show up and follow the rules." He leaned back in his chair, rolling his eyes at the next student to speak up. Honestly, you would think that the students would just be happy to have the break in the morning. "Would you like me to try to cram information in to your head first thing in the morning within thirty minutes? There isn't enough time for me to teach you anything and I thought I was being nice with giving you guys time to just relax before the day really starts." Payton usually used his homeroom class to prep for the math classes he would be teaching later that day. It worked well in the past, but maybe these kids were actually going to be a problem. "If you guys just keep quiet and study or just relax then we don't have to worry about adding any extra work to your day. Everyone happy with that arraignment?"
