I'll just drop this here for now, so that I don't lose what I have so far. I'll let you know when this is finished, and also, if you spot any problems with my cs as if now, just let me know and I'll be sure to fix it^^

LAN XU /// DOROTHY
 “...Back off, I'll cut you!!”
H U M A N O V E R V I E W
[sub]☯ N A M E[/sub]

Lan Xu (兰 徐), meaning "slow mountain mist / slow and elegant".
[sub]☯ F A C T I O N[/sub]

The Chinese
[sub]☯ A G E[/sub]

17
[sub]☯ G E N D E R[/sub]

Male
[sub]☯ A P P E A R A N C E[/sub]

Lan Xu is a very petite, but moderately muscular, boy as he only stands around four feet and ten inches without his shoes on. He has delicate white skin that wouldn't be expected of a swordsman, free from any scars, bruises, etc; the only exceptions are the bandages that cover his chest and the polygonal shaped birthmarks that run along his left shoulder and pectoral. Lan was born with dull blue, practically silver, layered hair that tends to stick up in various directions, and sharp and narrow blue-green eyes. Lan's most iconic outfit is a sleeveless black zip up vest with a collar that covers his chin and a little bit of his bottom lip. He wears baggy gray pants with bandages wrapped around the ends of his pants and the rest of his feet. He has black flats while two katana rest on either side of his hips. Lan's casual wear is a traditional steel blue Chinese kimono with dark blue accents, a blue sash, and red tie. He wears wooden sandals that add an inch to his height. Lan tends to wear this kimono loosely, only wearing one sleeve. In terms of accessories, Lan wears three earrings on his left ear.
[sub]☯ P E R S O N A L I T Y[/sub]

When first meeting Lan, he seems to have a cold, aloof personality based off of his appearance. He appears to have a distant attitude around everyone besides Dorothy...that is until you get close enough to actually talk to him. The true Lan is a very crude, violent, arrogant, and aggressive person. Having an attitude reminiscent of a teenage delinquent, Lan tends to come off as very anti-Bushido, if not downright evil. This problematic behavior goes all the way back to his early childhood days. Uncomfortably brutal at times, Lan smiles eerily when finding himself in the middle of a battle. His personality reflects his fighting style when alone or with Dorothy: mercilessly assaulting the opponent and having no regard for anything other than the enemy around him. Despite this, he's quite talented in fighting, using his katana in various ways besides attacking. He's also very intelligent, being capable of strategic planning, to the point that some even consider him a prodigy. While not the most mentally stable fighter, despite having the image of one, he knows who his enemies and allies are. Cold to his allies, but colder to his enemies. He's also very rude and foul-mouthed, which makes him hard to approach; with the help of Dorothy, his aggressive outbursts become less aggressive. With that in mind, Lan knows when to be mature, although is still quite aloof and unsociable, showing disinterest in hanging out with his fellow allies. Due to the constant praise of his abilities, Lan has a superiority complex and wants to be first and the best at everything. He doesn't like when people look down on him, as if they were superior; thus, it diminishes his already short fuse. Because of his complex, he's implied to be anti-social; he seems not to care for much people aside from Dorothy. Lan is also immensely prideful, as he hates the idea of others either helping him or him having to rely on others to assist him in battle. Because of his pride, Lan refuses to work together with others (aside from Dorothy of course) claiming he can do whatever he's assigned on his own. However, he will repay those who help him.
[sub]☯ B A C K G R O U N D[/sub]

Lan Xu comes from a long family of swordsmen and women. At the moment of his birth, Lan was destined to wield and master the sword whether he liked it or not. Unfortunately for him, he would rather do anything but that. When he was younger, it was actually quite enjoyable to do swordplay with his parents and older siblings, but when he turned nine, the fun sword matches became strict, almost twenty-four hour lessons. From physical endurance, to sparring, to even cruel punishment if he didn't make the grade, Lan was forced to go through all of it without any complaining. It went like this for years, Lan keeping silent while he let his family make a another version of them, until one day, he snapped. He practically blew up at his family, screaming, yelling, crying, and even breaking things as he stormed through the dojo and then their house. Shortly after telling them off, Lan chose to run away from home in order to avoid what might happen to him if he stayed. Of course Lan was nowhere near prepared to live on his own, as he had no money, food, or shelter. He spent multiple months living on the streets, scavenging for money and food. Nothing necessarily changed until he came across and oddly dressed girl huddled up in the corner of an alleyway. It wasn't hard to miss her bright clothing, but even with it on, it was hard to see who exactly he was looking at. Lan, slowly, but surely made his way over to the girl, only stopping when she lifted her head to reveal bandages covering her eyes. That was more than enough to make Lan want to keep this girl safe. Two stuck together like white on rice, albeit, only knowing each other for a few days. They even decided to stick together for the wars that have yet to subside... With fair skin mostly covered up by either her clothing or bandages, Dorothy has short straight purple hair styled to have side bangs, and large ruby red eyes that are covered by bandages, indicating that she is blind. Her clothing choices are rather odd as she's normally seen wearing a short pink corset-like dress with black trimmings, a darker colored belt, pink and gray stripe socks that never seem to stay on properly, and dark colored shoes. She's always seen wearing an eerily pink hooded bunny cloak with a black fur trim and a red bow in the center. This hood covers her eyes and the top half of her face and it's something that she never takes off unless as it was given to her by someone special. Another noticeable clothing option is that she usually wears a pair of large white gloves for too big for her hands.
[sub]✿ P E R S O N A L I T Y[/sub]

Extremely shy and relatively quiet, Dorothy is the kind of girl that would shatter if you grazed her. She hates any kind of confrontation and likes to keep to herself in most situations. With a case of social anxiety bordering on agoraphobia, Dorothy is strongly discomfited by going outside. She communicates with the world through Lan, who also enables her lifestyle out of guilt that he can't relieve her past trauma. Having disconnected herself from most of the human and Mamodo world, Dorothy is lonely, lives without passion and enthusiasm, suffers from suicidal depression, and questions the point in her living. She tends to hide behind Lan so that she won't be seen in public, and wears her special hood which makes it almost impossible to identify her. Being with Lan acts as a sanctuary and a refuge from the chaos and noise of both raging battles. Once she's truly comfortable around others, she shows her childish side and likes teasing her friends, particularly Lan and (another mamodo; if anyone's interested pm me ^^). She comes off as bright, playful, and cheerful when with her newfound friends.
[sub]✿ B A C K G R O U N D[/sub]

Within the Mamodo World, Dorothy was almost always seen by herself, or at least she tried to keep it as such. Being accidentally born into a rather abusive family who didn't even seem to want her, Dorothy was always lonely and scared, trying her best to keep a brave face in front of the few friends she managed to make. Unfortunately for her, this didn't stop the torment she had to go through every day. It got to a point where, when Dorothy had simply looked her mother in the eye, she poured boiling water into the girl's eyes, blinding her for the rest of her life. After loosing her eyesight, things began to change. She noticed how the familiar voices of her friends disappeared from her life, and how her body temperature would fluctuate in a matter of seconds, going from icy cold to blistering hot. Her time at school was even more dreadful as she was coddled because of her blindness; the exact opposite of how she was treated at home. She did, however, manage to make one friend (again pm, if interested). Someone who treated her like a human being, and not some toy that could be thrown around. They even gave her her fur trimmed rabbit cloak in order to mask her eyes and keep people from knowing. For once in her life, Dorothy felt like she was being treated like an actual person. It was a few month later when Dorothy was chosen to fight in the Mamodo world; not only because of her will to be treated as a person, but also because of how much she's endured and managed to get through in life.
[sub]✿ S P E L L S[/sub]

Gimuto/Fumuto: A spell that's unique to Dorothy and her spell book. Being able to control both fire and ice, Dorothy has a spell in her book that allows her to change the element of her spells from fire to ice and vice versa. This spell also changes her body temperature extremely. Giruga/Furuga: Combining the prefix for ice and fire respectively and the suffix/stem for a concentrated beam, Dorothy is able to shoot these concentrated beams from her hands. Despite being blind, by using her other four senses, her accuracy is impeccable. Gikurou/Fukurou: Again combining the prefix for ice and fire respectively and the suffix/stem for manifesting claws, Dorothy is able to create claws out of the respective element she's put under. Anything touched by these claws with face the ailments that come with the respective element.
