She is a large arachne standing around eight feet tall. Her skin tone is pale white, nearly matching the fur color of the arachne half of her body. On each leg there are two separate rows of red fur. The end of her legs and pedipalps have black chitin. On her thorax is the shape of a simple spiral that is the matches the red that is on her legs. Her hair is is seemingly died red matching in color to her six eyes.

While Aela desires to show the world that a Large Breed Arachne can succeed in the Exchange Program, she still suffers from the typical issues that the Large Breed Arachnes have, commonly that means that she has a short fuse and can be quick to anger at times. Still she has dedicated herself to her task and works hard to keep that part of her down, finding different means to take out her built up aggression, commonly through sewing or knitting. 
While she does try to do the best on first impressions she can still come off as rather aggressive, perhaps due to her imposing size over most others. Despite this she seemingly has a soft spot for children though if asked about it she will swiftly deny it.
Despite her quick temper that she tries to hide, she actually hates conflict as a whole and rather avoid it most of the time if possible.

Aela is a Large Breed Arachne who joined the Exchange Program for one reason and one reason only: To prove a Large Breed Arachne can succeed in the Exchange Program. In the early days of the Exchange Program there were several incidents involving Large Breed Arachne attacking their handlers, causing them to be banned from the program, and were the first species as a whole barred from it. They were, and to some degree still are, used by those against the program and Liminals in general as a symbol of their cause. Aela adamantly wants to show that her people can be more than what people thinks they are, so she attempted to convince the people of the Exchange Program to use her as a test case, but there wasn't really anyone willing to host her. At least, up until this point of time when she has managed to finally catch a break.

Her goal though has put her in a rather odd place, whatever family she had among her kind, has all but abandoned her due to what she desires, having turn their own backs toward the Exchange Program and other species entirely, and the fact that most other races are still wary of her kind. Despite the odds though she can't wait to she the world that they are wrong about her and her kind can succeed in this new changing world without violence.
