A week before, he had gotten permission from the Captain to exit the Condor to visit some of his friends back in the experimental orphanage. They were all in the same neighborhood so it wasn't hard to track them. He visited three days ago and he still can't get over how fun it was. They prepared him all these delicious food for him. He was pretty sure that they mixed in some poison berries in them for extra flavoring. He had long since gotten a complete immunity against it so he guessed that's why they didn't worry as much. He had even pestered Jessa about it over and over again because of his excitement. Anyway, they were really good cooks and they had really good jobs too. They looked like they were enjoying themselves. It was all good and nothing could beat that day. He wasn't sad about leaving though - it had been the norm after all. They were sure that they would see each other the year after that. After all, how can they all miss the much awaited day of the year? The day when they were released from the grips of the orphanage. Of course, Christian had missed this sometimes because of his job but he always made sure that he would contact them. The halls were mostly empty, he noticed, and then he checked the time. Oh? It was this early in the morning. He chuckled to himself. He didn't notice when he woke up. Oh well, oh well~ It only meant that he had a lot more time on his hands to spend loitering around. Admittedly though, he was getting bored. Sure, he managed to distract himself by thinking about his meeting with his 'family' but on the ship, he literally does nothing. After all, he was useful outside of the ship but they were currently docked on Earth so he didn't really need to go exploring. He began to whistle when the intercom buzzed to life. Christian didn't get the reference but he did get the point - they were definitely leaving Earth for something. Pumping his hand up in excitement, he sped up towards the meeting room. Finally, something to do! He opened the door and then raised his hand up in a greeting, his whole body seeming to exude an aura of excitement and energy. "Good morning everyone!" He cheerily greeted the ones already inside. There was the robot engineer, Nexus; Gar, the cyborg engineer; Maria, a new girl who apparently majored in languages of aliens but she only was here for a month so he wasn't sure really; Wren, his fellow, and saner, explorer; and of course, the captain! His mouth showed a grin as he saw the state the captain was in. "Captain, you better not go and sleep on us when you called a meeting!" He teased before taking notice that Masha wasn't sitting down. Cocking his head to the right, he bounded up to her before giving her a pat on the shoulder. "Come on Maria, don't be shy. Please, sit down." He said encouragingly as he gestured to one of the seats. He wasn't really aware of her nickname yet as he can't remember if she ever mentioned it around him. He wanted to at least make her feel welcomed and all because they were going to be working together for a long time. He also heard that she was a scientist so she would be seeing a lot of him, usually with poisonous flora which he is sometimes eating, in the later parts of the voyage. "You should loosen up. We don't really bite you know~" He never tried it at least. He knew he was going to get an earful from Vice-Captain Ryan if he did. Smiling at her once more, he finally took a seat near the entrance with both of the chairs beside him empty.
