[@Andreyich] That would really defeat the point of getting better loot through hard work, so I'd allow standard equipment - an axe, sword etc but only steel ones. There'll be plenty of opportunities to get better gear as we go though.

[@Dogematix] That's actually not a bad idea, although wouldn't he be shunned for taking up with 'lessers' as an adventurer?

[@Eisenhorn] Eeeeh...if he's a crack shot off the mark then I'd say no, but I suppose a hunter or some such would make sense.
