As he heard loud metal clangs against the table, his eyes fluttered open slightly. He waved two fingers at them dismissively. He didn't really fit the picture of a captain of a ship. He was worn out, and clearly nodding back to sleep. His stature wasn't what one would call formidable. He was told he had to wear suits to work by his old boss when he got the promotion, so he would look smart. He didn't look particularly smart now, with his collar and tie undone, half of his collar tucked into his jacket, and half his shirt tail hanging out. He looked less like a serious military man and more of a drug addict at a formal gathering. He heard two other crew members greeting him, Masha and Wren. He knew Masha was a new recruit. They had met before, as he had to show up at her graduation from the Academy. Truly, it was a dreary occasion. He had to shake her hand and smile cordially, like a respectable Captain. Truly, the sight of him now would be a shock to the system. Wren had been with him for three years and was probably accustomed to this sight. Wren was quite like Marty when he first joined The Condor, and Marty was eagerly awaiting the day when he became a cynical wreck like he had. It was only as Christian greeted him that he shot up in his chair. "Shut up De Leon! It's 6:35 and I'm exhausted. Do you know what time I got to bed? 5:00! In the morning!" If anyone had been walking the hall of The Condor, they may have realised his late bedtime may have been something to do with the attractive young woman escaping the ship at dawn. He had been told he wasn't allowed to smuggle women on, but that didn't stop him. He still looked groggy, his expression changed to one of shell shock when Ramona hurriedly entered the room. He shuffled over to her, saying in a low tone "Stay after this meeting. Oh, and nice shirt." He winked before returning to his chair. He tried to retain the appearance of nearly sleeping, but it was slightly obvious he was ogling Ramona, smiling a little. [@Sigurd] [@Polaris North]
