[@Filthy Mudblood] hello! -wavewave- So I was quickly looking over Valerie and I thought her manipulating enjoyment/Amusement Inhibition could potentially be condensced down into one power. Then you could move Misdirection down to your strongest moderate ability (2:3) and have a new weak potency strong ability (3:1). I only suggest this as I would assume manipulating enjoyment includes lessening it. However [@Melo] brought up a great point in that maybe you meant Amusement Inhibition to be a really really powerful negative effect, in which case keep it as is. Just wanted you to know you have some options, but it's up to you what you want to do, you can keep it the same if you like :D [@Apokalipse]
Cicero - can you describe his clothes in his appearance section? awwh I love how he's mobbed by children constantly xD AAAH YOU ADDED IN A GIF FROM THE PEVERELL BROTHERS STORY. YOU'RE MY FAVOURITE PERSON NOW It's up to you if you want to elaborate on it or not (you can say no) but do you have an inkling on what you want his past to be like before he lost his memories? Where he came from? You can leave it as it is if you want to, however. I LOVE the illteration in his poem. So perfect <3 Really like how you've involved Mephisto in the world by telling his tales to the ancestors of monnkeys, owls and elephants. That'll come into play. aaand his abilities are named after some of the animals :D Great theming. Monkey See, Monkey Do: Melo made a great point: does this just copy the action the other person took or the entire skill itself? Also I imagine this ability would be able to "retain" one skill at a time :D Sharing Is Caring: Mephisto is able to get a vague sense of memories he needs from others, and receives the knowledge they have through them. Mephisto is able to perceive memories even if they have been forgotten. Or: Mephisto is able to perceive memories he needs from others, and receives the knowledge they have through them. Mephisto cannot perceive memories that have been forgotten. Selective Amnesia: Just to 100% clarify, this is for a single, specfic memory? Take Roots: You can implant one memory into someone per use of the ability. Also what happens if he has two memories conflicting? Melo made an excellent example of if a man killed a guy, and then you implanted the memory that a woman killed the guy, without removing the first memory. I'd think it'd just cause him some confusion (due to the deception/trickery line) But I want to know how you imagine this :D Sob Story: Firstly, no suicide or extremely survival-threatening task can be a target for Sob Story. After that, there are quite a few options on where to take this :D Since the action taken is also somewhat dependent on the character's personality (e.g. two people persuaded of something might act differently on that information) It's effectiveness would probably be on a case by case basis in terms of: less effective for a large group of people then one or two people. As well as determined by action-specfic: An example from Melo is that telling a bunch of people to kill a dragon would be less successful then telling them to provide food/shelter for Mephisto and his buddies. A Shaggy Dog Story: I just love the concept xD Mephisto is able to bring stories alive. By telling a story, he can manifest characters in real life and make them do what he wants. How many characters he summons depends also on the types of beings he summons. For example, he could summon one young dragon, or a small collection of faeries, or a horde of newborn babies. Furthermore, the personality of these creatures and the accuracy of their depiction is dependent wholly on how well written the story itself is. A story written without great care of character will summon creatures of similar robustness. In this way, it is very difficult for a summon brought to life this way to be 100% accurate to it's cast. If a God is summoned, they do so without any of their Moderate-Strong powers, their Weak powers are in some cases lessened, and the accuracy of their personality will usually not hold up under complex scrutiny. This is due to the complex magical nature of accurately protraying gods themselves. However this summoning may be useful to temporarily confuse people, for example. For example, a bad fanfiction will produce a bad, paper-thin character. Sometimes literally paper-thin, if you want. Anyway... Fish Story: yay, gotta love the sweet sweet target revenge slow murder! Delicious.
[@Ihinka]
Can you state what type of practical clothes Shas'ti likes to wear? Ok so, the way the Dark God/Starkissed system works is those who are working against the Starkissed are Dark Gods, and those who work with benevolence with them are Starkissed. I would say Te'Muti is more a Starkissed spy then actually a Dark God, since she's not working against the Starkissed. More like a sleeper agent. Magic animal handling: Sorry this is more of an ability so this one I won't allow I'm afraid. You could do something like "magical creatures are less likely to attack her" Dragon Knowledge: What is she knowledgable of? Dragons themselves? Or everything? Stealth: Okay so is she good at hiding OR very fast? Half-breed: So you could pick faster here and then make stealth stealth-only and not speed related. Or you can make this strength related. OR you can have a small general bonus (think Raydon's ability to have no penalties based on weapons, but no bonuses). Also if you want to base your mechanics on her half breed nature, would you be able to tell me or Melo who her mother was? This may have IC implications, however if you wish to leave it vague you can. Also I see her lore mastery is in her skills :D I think a little of her backstory: Of course the basic survival skill set was also ingrained in her from a very young age. Hunting for food, foraging, basic healing techniques, vast variety of combat techniques. Shas'ti was well versed in the use of most human weapons and Shan'tu often wondered if her combat prowess was due to her mixed heritage. doesn't line up with her skillset currently, but that might just be my lack of understanding of a couple of things. Sleep!: With a touch Shas'ti can induce a light sleep into anyone and anything. The bigger the target, the harder it is to put it to sleep. Dream Imprisonment: Here are some fun options for you :D Shash'ti can lock someone into a trance, sometimes a dream or nightmare, for up to ten minutes. This ability will fail when the character is presented with pain, life or death situation, or if they begin to feel something is wrong very powerfully. OR Shash'ti can put someone into a light sleep for a few moments, allowing them to wake up either refreshed or sluggish. Dream Attack: A global targetted attack is a touch too powerful for a Moderate-low ability. I really like that you're keeping to your theme, but i'd be tempted to make this an ultimate ability or a penultimate power ability with some distance nerfs. If you still want this ability here, we can do something with it, but it will require nurfing the distance among other things. Is that okay? Really like that she can get hurt back though :D Dream Materialisation: Again a bit powerful for a slot, unless these things that she can materialise are one non-living, non-magical mundane object at a time. The Bliss Or Horror Of Dreams: Pick whether you want this to fear or buff :D Oneiric Teleportation: Can she specifically teleport to a person or just within a general area? Right now i'm leaning towards: So long as she doesn't have any negative intent, Te'Muti can teleport to any sleeping creature within 600m of her location if one is nearby. If no one is present in that area, the ability does not trigger and the cost is not used. Ability Imprinting: No sorry this ability doesn't work, would you be able to think of something else for this slot? Panmnesia: this is cool, but I worry about it's use in later eras. Memories will be retained between incarnations anyway, so you will find this ability does not measure up to other 9s really fast. Also, if you can imagine the last era, it would be sad if you couldn't use your 9 in a final showdown or something. I would suggest a new 9 for this slot <3
[@Middleearthroze]
Scholar: Thanks to his background, Iakobos is able to read, write, and study various things with ease. Literacy is it's own skill in this era specifically, so you can have one skill as literacy and another as studying. Observer: Just wondering if this is a small buff to general knowledge, or a large buff to perception alone or knowing rumours? The World is Watching: Information to answer a simple question can be pulled from the mind of an intelligent being, so long as they are willing. Only a vague sense of action and memory can be witnessed, without emotion or feeling. Mind Meld: Information can be swapped with a being; if Iakobos wants someone to understand something very quickly, he can meld either his mind or another's to theirs, allowing the information to essentially be downloaded. While it has the ability to be very powerful, the melding of minds must be done with consent by all parties. An unwilling mind cannot take part in this process. No abilities or skills on this one ^^ Labourer's Lament: A person is forced to toil away at a labourer's task, whether they really want to or not. Pain and fatigue disappear while doing so, but this can prove detrimental as injuries are not lost during this time. (I need to think this one over a little bit more, but should have a proper reply for you soon) Forceful Followers: Iakobos can turn up to twenty unwilling mortal individuals into his own followers; cursing them to become dangerous zealots who's only purpose in life is to serve him.
