Emily, better known to her friends and family as Em, is a very outgoing and calm young woman despite everything she keeps inside. She tries her hardest to remain strong at all times because it was all she ever knew. Her father left her amd her mother when she turned 8, and rather than take her mother's maiden name, Emily kept the last name Reaver. Her mother often struggled to keep them afloat, and Emily found herself being around her uncle more and more, as well as her younger cousin Samantha. Emily had always seen Sam as more like a little sister, and with her knowledge, Emily was an only child. 

Emily never got the chance to attend Hogwarts, having grown up in France, but she attended Beauxbatons Academy for a time where she took to a pen pal program where she was assigned Charles Weasley as her partner. At first, she didn't take it seriously, but after a while Charlie, whom she later nicknamed Nature Boy, became the only person she could vent her problems to. And though Charlie wasn't her only pen pal, he became the closest friend she ever had.

When Emily was 15, she and her mother moved to America, and Emily finished up her schooling there, getting to see her cousin begin school before she graduated. She graduated in the top five of her class, and decided to go on to auror training after much debate between it and Curse-Breaking. She finished up her training and had been drifting around the country, keeping in touch with Sam and Charlie the entire time. However, after a rather close incident with Death Eaters on the homefront, Emily returned home to warn her family. It was how she knew that the war in Britain had expanded, and it had her worrying for her best friend whom she had never met.[/Center]
