Dante let out a happy sigh. He had finally made a friend his age. Then, something unexpected happened. Before he knew what was happening, he had been hit across the head. He turned to look at what had happened to see that the weapon had slapped him. “Wait… What about my people skills?” He asks, confused about what was happening. With each fired off fault in what he had said, Dante was taken aback a little. ‘I didn’t mean it like that!’ He thought frantically. “No wait, that’s not what I meant!” He said before she questioned his practicing. “Well about that…” Dante started. “That was half of it. The other half was sneaking off to practice on the tree outside” He said as he scratched his head. “I would whack it and see how much damage I could do. Then I would try to get faster, and work on spinning it. It was obvious they knew I was doing it though, I would be out there for hours either with the broom, my sword or some butter knives from the kitchen.” He announced, like it was some kind of achievement. “I call it ‘The Poor Man’s Training!’” He held a majestic pose for a few seconds before shaking it off and smiling at her. “And what I meant was that you are much better than the broom. The weight is perfect, not too heavy, but heavy enough to have some impact” He said, hoping he could dig himself out of the hole he was apparently in. “Brooms are good for getting the technique, but worthless for actual weapons.” With a scratch of his head, he figured he was almost out. Now for the big guns, time to pull out all the suave he had read about in books. “I was pretty surprised though, I kinda figured you would be all talk.” He said with a confident grin. “But I was defiantly wrong. You have to be one of the best weapons I've ever seen.” And with that, Dante was pretty sure he was out of trouble. ‘I wish I had some sunglasses so I could shield my eyes from my awesome’ He thought as he looked at the weapon before him with a relaxed smile. He had always wanted to try out his smoothness and figured this was a good opportunity.
