Heidi nodded. They had to look like children from completely different walks of life. Heidi's pale Scottish skin would not pass for Mexican or Mediterranean, so she decided to pick French as her language of choice, with a northern Hauts-de-France accent. She also ruffled her hair and smudged her makeup, drawing attention to both her hair and her makeup, which instead of looking ordinary as they had, now looked like they might have been very well maintained by vanity before she had been taken. With her new persona ready, she entered the transport vehicle, and sat down, muttering to herself. First it was 'I don't understand what you're saying' in flawless Spanish, but then she tried it again, a focused look on her face as she tried to speak Spanish with a French accent, and make grammatical errors, but ones that a French speaker might make as opposed to an English speaker. It was a lot of effort and detail that nobody would notice, but that was the point; nobody would notice.
