She wasn't perfect, but neither was he, and neither of them needed to be. So long as she could adequately cover his weaknesses and act within the bounds of proper decorum as an upstanding citizen, there was nothing he would take issue with. Once they returned, he shortly fell asleep after some light reading as was his habit. He slept early and got up even earlier, always an hour-and-a-half before he needed to be going. That extra time was spent on physical activity - so while Talia was dead to the world (and sure enough, she wouldn't wake up until much later), Leo was out jogging. He ran for about 8 kilometers before finishing off with calisthenics and returning. A quick bath and a review of his schedule later, and he was ready to leave. He knocked on the sliding door that kept the room divided and asked, "Talia, are you ready to leave yet?" Silence was his only answer, so he assumed that his partner had most likely left already. "Hm, surprisingly diligent of her . . ." Without further preamble, Leo hefted his bag and made way towards the dining hall. He'd be lying if he said he wasn't starving, and while it was somewhat undignified, the moment he entered the hall he filled his plate to the brim with food - enough to feed five people, by his estimate. He even caught a few looks his way as he passed through the hall with plate in hand. He wasn't obligated to explain himself. In any case, he sat alone, not out of habit or because of a lack of acquaintances (though that was certainly a factor) but because he felt more comfortable dining alone. As he saw it, there were only two reasons to eat food - for nutrients, or for social reasons - if it were the latter, then the food was a mere after thought to make the presence of other people that much more savory, but right now he dined for the former, and as such, he gave the food his full, undivided attention. Talking to people when he didn't have to took away from the experience of eating, especially when the food was good - and the food served at this near mythical dining hall was definitely not lacking in any way.
[@Redmarshmellow]

A[sub]lice[/sub] A[sub]manda[/sub] A[sub]nette[/sub] A[sub]nderson[/sub]
[sup]Passionate Songbird[/sup]
Alice had gotten up at around the same time that her partner had, though before showering she took a moment to listen to a few hit pieces that she had bought recently. Despite her own growing fame as a performer she still had the same admiration for talented artists that she'd held as a child. She supposed some things really didn't change no matter how old you got. It was around the 14th track when she noticed her roommate was up, mostly by virtue of hearing the shower running. Looking at the time, she decided it was probably best that she get on with it. She'd rather not have to rush on the first day of classes after all! Immediately after Mikayla finished her bath, she rushed in, clothes in her arms. During her time as a theater actress she'd developed a habit of moving as quickly as possible, only doing what was necessary at the time. After a years of living like this, parts of this habit began slipping into her daily life as well. All-in-all, she only took less than half an hour to finish bathing and make herself look presentable. Any other day, she probably wouldn't have to rush so much. By the time her partner called out to her, she was ready and waiting, bag in hand and a pair of earphones slinking down from her ears. "Ready to go, partner~" she announced cheerfully. Without a pause, Alice stepped outside of the room, waiting for Mikayla before making her way towards the dining hall. She was feeling giddy all over, a radiant grin on her pretty face as she anticipated her first day of classes and the excitement it would bring. Last year she had scarce time to focus on things like getting along with her classmates or school activities, so she had hardly made any meaningful relationships inside of school. Now, however, with her explicit desire to focus on her studies for the moment, and without having any big productions scheduled, there was nothing holding her back from enjoying her life as a student.
[@karamonnom]
