Regan breathed a sigh of relief after the crisis with the snapper was resolved without apparent casualties save for the poor man who’d lost his life thanks to Blacklight. She looked about for Teagan and was alarmed to realize she couldn't find her in the immediate vicinity. She felt panic beginning to take over her faculties when she spotted the wayward firefighter with a fire brigade hosing down trees and park benches that had caught fire during the ordeal. This new sigh of relief she released was of titanic proportions in comparison to the previous one. Although she wanted to sprint to Teagan and hug her senseless, she made a conscious effort to walk slowly towards the fire engine. It was a rare opportunity to observe the ex-firefighter in her original element so to speak. The sight was a glorious one. Teagan was helping a fireman with the word 'Candidate' emblazoned on his uniform to hold the hose that sprayed water in the direction of the burning trees. She could see Teagan's subtle course corrections that served to instruct the rookie of the best way to put out the fire. She looked hot in her jeans, tight t-shirt and soot marring her features. When the fire was finally out Regan saw her friend lean into the fireman's personal space to say something in his ear. Then she lifted her head and as if by magic she turned to lock her gaze on the PART officer. The joy that her look telegraphed upon seeing Regan stole her breath away. Teagan jogged to Regan and was about to hug her, but managed to restrain herself, remembering she reeked of smoke and was covered in soot. But before she managed to say something Regan stepped closer and enveloped her in a warm embrace. The firefighter stilled and almost melted within the cocoon of Regan's strong arms. She hugged her back with all her might. "I got so scared when I couldn't find you after the Epics took care of the turtle." Regan mumbled in Teagan's shoulder, not willing to let her go yet. She inhaled deeply not minding the chocking smell of smoke that permeated Teagan's clothes and skin. She allowed a small cathartic shiver to run the length of her body and then she drew away a fraction. Just so she could look the other woman in the eyes. Teagan opened her mouth to assure Regan she was okay, but gentle fingers prevented her, followed closely by soft lips. The kiss was short and sweet. But it was a promise for so much more and ignited a fire within Teagan's chest, but also instilled in her a sort of calmness. She smiled with Regan's lips still on hers. She heard a few catcalls from the firemen and withdrew reluctantly from Regan. She grinned goofily. "I got soot all over yer pretty face." She said with an easy smile. Regan's heart was hammering in her chest. Oh, my God! I kissed her! And she kissed back! She was on cloud nine. "Good." The PART officer answered with a matching grin. "We're a set then." "That we most assuredly are, aye." Teagan agreed, lifted one of Regan's hands and kissed the knuckles. She was rewarded by a soft blush and a shy smile. "Let's get out of here?" She suggested. "Clean up... maybe grab dinner, catch a movie." Regan entwined her fingers with Teagan's soot covered ones. "Lead the way!"
