Some things to consider, as the RP is set in a modern-day-like world:

[*] It'll be a utopia of both 'Mons (since there's no humans around just yet, maybe ;)), we'll have references to OTL/IRL stuff that are specially-made for the 'Mons (e.g. specialty conventions = Anime expositions/gatherings/meet-ups, fancy beverage store = Starbucks). And yeah, whether a DigiDestined to become a champion or a PokéTrainer who wants to be the very best like no one ever was, it does!
[*] Democracy-style Government, where there are two chosen leaders for each of them: Pokémon has Legendaries/Mythicals taking turns (Arceus doesn't have to lead all the time even if he's already their God, think a Presidential Adviser of sorts) while Digimon has the Humanoids/Celestials.
[*] Battles as much as possible, should be kept to a minimum or when a misbehavior threat strikes, resort to self-defense battle.
[*] For the purpose of the RP, both 'Mons will be speaking normally since I did imply in the OP about them having personalities and all.
