Lauren Jones
Interacting: [@Solace] Having fetched some light lunch, Lauren had chosen to sit outside and enjoying the fresh air for as long as she could before being pulled back to rest in the patients' cabin. She had barely sat down when she heard a familiar voicing hailing her. Looking up from her soup, Lauren's gaze swept the empty grounds before focusing on Reese and widening with recognition. "Oh, Reese. Hi!" She said hurriedly after swallowing a bread roll much too fast and having to reach for her tankard of nettle tea to wash it down. Gasping a little, she grinned as the boy approached carefully, although his limp was badly disguised and her eyes glanced down to the slight bulging of one trouser leg suggesting a cast wrapped around it, hidden by his uniform. "Good to hear! I think we spoke sometime... last week? I don't know, I don't really remember much from the last week. Literally leaking out of my head." She pointed at the bandages wrapped tightly around her head with a resentful expression on her face. "Were you coming for food or just a walk? It feels great to be out of that cabin... I never realised how bad it would be to stay there as a patient." She thought back to all the times she had been there over the recent months, tending to injuries of varying nature, and firmly telling many to stay in their beds until they recovered. When she was fit for duty and, inevitably, would be called to help out the short staffed team, she vowed to be a little more lenient in letting the injured out for some fresh air. She looked over to the training grounds and spotted a familiar, tall and menacing, figure prowling around while casting glares up at the forests nearest the camp. Schulz was clearly waiting for something and Lauren had a dim memory of Jade - or perhaps Mora or Olivia, she couldn't really remember - telling her that they were doing some kind of ODM assessment that day. Nodding over to the ever irate instructor, she spoke in a low voice, ever fearful that the apparently omniscient man could hear her and exact some kind of punishment on her. "The others all left earlier. Someone said it was a Gear training session, or an assessment. Looks like Schulz is going to be the one 'assessing' them." She grimaced, thinking of the number times they had all been sent running for not being up to his ludicrously high expectations, even on the first training session for the ODM. "I'm almost glad I got hit by that rock, now."
