Assuming that picture is wrong I was wondering how much of this roleplay is going to take ideas and ques from Breath of the Wild? I'm tentatively interested in the roleplay but I'd like to get a sense of which version of Legend of Zelda we're dealing with before I say definitively that I'll join.
Races: Hylians, Shiekah, Zora, Gorons, Gerudo, Rito (BotW style), Kokiri, Clockworkers (fan made race), Kitsune (look it up. It's not a Zelda thing but it exists), and maybe one other that I'm forgetting.
So, wait. Why not just, IDK, make the PCs descendants of the Sages or newly awakened sages or any sort of chosen figure that got some hero juice from the goddesses? You know, something that'd be less convoluted than everyone being the usual blonde sword guy even when they're not, and this way you completely avoid having to bring up timelines too.
Admittedly that makes more sense. Personally the blood of the heroes thing was not meant to be thought about too much (and I never said you had to be blonde or a guy) it was mostly an excuse to get the characters involved in the plot.
I feel I should mention that with the exception of A Link to the Past it was Zelda's power that was passed on genetically while Link's was given to the worthy member of the generation when shit hit the fan. I believe Skyward Sword referred to it as "The blood of the goddess and the spirit of the hero". ALttP was the only game that referred to a specific bloodline from which the heroes were chosen and given that it was a line of knights it could easily be that for a couple of generations they were the most qualified for the Triforce to deem worthy and cause of that the historians just assumed that all heroes came from that line. It would probably make more sense for us to descend from the sages or be newly awakened sages ourselves which could add an element of connection to the various regions of Hyrule for the specific sages that identify with those areas.
