Overall, I'm consumed by a feeling of disappointment. Quite frankly, this is only a persistent world by title and not at all what should have been delivered. What we've got here is merely anything anyone wants to be involved with the potential to directly influence each other if they so choose but could easily be ignored. This provides the illusion of a collaborative effort. If only anyone had been aware of an older forum known as Desert Realm or even bothered to consider the worlds of Kyrnn or Faerun. These are persistent worlds. One could make the argument that this is more along the lines of a persistent "solar system" or "galaxy," which is all find and dandy but extremely disappointing for something like myself who would actually enjoy seeing the true strength of a persistent world which is admin/mod driven story arcs and events of major NPCs that forcefully influence all those in the area as the admin/mod interject appropriately. It's as if someone was afraid another might feel left out or slighted if the setting didn't agree with them. I believe it was in one of the introductory/instructional posts where it was suggested that you could have a medieval version of Tatoinne with a "100" style Space Station floating above without anyone's knowledge, and the god damn silver surfer on his way from a distant planet. It's great to include everyone in theory but rarely does it work by design. It might as well just be any number of individual role plays in any of the other sections. Without moderator driver story arcs that influence the entirety of the "persistent world" there is little reason to even use the persistent world concept. Here it seems we have an attempt to sooth the masses by label rather than real creation.
