He dislikes the happiness in the atmosphere, the smile of someone because they receive something that he doesn't. So it is best for everything to be silence. To him, silent is the best tool to bring, the best to use, and the best to work with. So he tends to work alone. Isolate from everything else in this world. 
But that can only be applied to Vlad. For Oedipus, he is filled with chaos. He wants to do what he wants. He could give mercy for no reason, only to take it back when he thinks it is better to kill them. The only thing that other can think of him is "the absence of chaos is within him."

[color=556B2F][b]Semblance Appearance:[/b][/color] The Semblance seems to make from tusk and resemble a front face of the human skull. When walking near, there seems to be an odor similar to rotting human corpse.

 [color=556B2F][i]Pestilence Creation:[/i][/color] Vladimir can create diseases. The longer the creation, the harder to cure and deadlier the disease. He can only create two diseases at the same time. If he is creating a disease and cancel that process, then when he attempts to create the same disease, the process will rewind again from the beginning. Although Vlad can create some diseases that don't require to be transmitted by normal pathogen, 

 [color=556B2F][i] Forbidden Words/ Knowledge: [/i][/color] Vlad can create some diseases that don't required to be transmitted by normal pathogen like bacteria or virus. And Vlad knew some long lost words is now spoken in a right tone can create a mysterious disease. But he can't force other to say those word, other must spoke those word as an accident. He can't use this in the real world.

So he can reanimate from a sing cell of disease, or regenerate his head for the next three hours. But to reanimate from a single cell would take years if not centuries to construct his whole body and bring him back to life. But that doesn't mean that he can manipulate other.
