Sincerity can be bought and affection is directly correlated to the quantity of shiny accessories gifted. Star may not kiss and tell, but he'll certainly extort finery from his customers if they show even a hint of weakness. It's not like he didn't show them a good time, after all.

Changeling 19 5' 4" / 162cm 135 lbs. / 61kg Male Homosexual Gardener and personal slave to his lord. Fata Morgana

A belief long held by the fairies of the region that any fae worthy of entering the realm of light would see the glorious visage of the Fata Morgana itself, supposedly a grand castle connecting the sky and sea at the horizon's line. Star doesn't truly believe in the realm of fae, but indulges the fantasy that a paradise filled with only happiness and fulfillment exists beyond what the eye can see for those who truly deserve it--not him, of course.

Lithe and flexible with a slender frame, Star has always been as bright as his namesake with blonde hair so light the sun's rays might bleach its colors away and skin so pale that even the gentlest of bruises would mar black and blue. His fae heritage grants brilliant blue eyes and a gentle face of childishly soft curves that evokes the timeless connotations of innocence and purity. And he is anything but. Just vain enough to prefer jewelry and fine ornaments, Star bedecks himself often in the gifts of his customers, unabashedly displaying the fruits of his ill-reputed former profession. He's earned them, he insists, and he doesn't quite care that people think of him as a glorified stress toy. "As long as they keep giving me gifts like these, they can call me what they like."

Entirely too irreverent and completely shameless, Star will speak his mind even when no one asked for his opinion. Or, rather, especially when no one asked. Raised as a whore and completely accepting of his history, the fairy pays mental lip service to the presence of the unseen fae around him, but rarely cares. After all, they abandoned him first. He isn't bitter about it, but he isn't about to go out of his way to help anyone that likely won't help him in return. Once upon a time, he might have, but that part of him is sealed in an airtight casket and buried at the bottom of his emotional ocean. Callous and unrepentant, Star has a smart mouth that's earned him more than his fair share of vicious backhands and flared tempers, but the abuse doesn't deter him. He likes it rough. Debauchery has a name and that name is Star Misch. Star keeps a series of ready-made personalities on hand for use in any situation between the sheets and they range from obedient servant to feisty mistress--whatever makes the customer waste more time in his arms makes the brothel more money, after all, but it's not all stalling tactics with this mischievous sprite. Years of special services to the depraved have netted him a series of skills not suitable for any type of polite company, but more than applicable for almost any scenario that requires pleasure of the physical variety. Including cooking, because prolonged night antics work up an appetite and the brothel cooks have all gone to bed. Love and trust are foreign concepts to Star while money and hourly rates for services rendered define his interpersonal relationships. If he's lonely, he certainly doesn't know it, but every so often he'll catch himself gazing at the open sky, searching for the castle on the horizon's line that he knows would never come for him in the filthy streets of the town's immoral district. Only the pure of heart, the old fairy had said, hobbling on two wizened legs near him as Star scrubbed the wooden floors of grime and leftovers. "So never me?" he had asked, voice breaking only on the last word. "Who's to say?" the rasping voice had responded, gazing to the sunset in the western sky barely visible from the window. The dying fairy had never returned after that day and Star had watched his small offerings of berries and nuts rot slowly in the outside crevice beside the door. On the fifth day of no return, he took on the most customers he ever had in one day, exhausting himself to the point where he could justify his tears with another reason, because facing loneliness was beyond his capabilities.

Star was--and still is--known throughout his lord's lands as the town harlot, having been abandoned by his family after he was birthed with a caul over his head. The omen trumped any love they could have held for their child (if it even was their child and, truly, Star was not) and so the newborn was left to die in the streets one night, though the midwife was merciful enough to remove the caul and allow him to breathe even if she still abandoned him in the end. Feeling more excitement at free labor than pity for the wailing child, a sharp-eyed owner of a brothel saved the infant from a cold death, naming him after the stars that aligned that day to cross her path with his and preserve his life. From a young age, Star was able to see the fae folk that glamoured themselves away from prying human eyes, some tall, some miniscule, and some that dwelled only in the darkness. He realized in his teenage years that he was one of them, even if he was an abandoned member of the supernatural. An aging fae had pitied the ignorant changeling and passed enough knowledge that the child at least understood the culture of his roots. Sweeping the grounds or cleaning the floors, Star found time to listen until he had gleaned enough knowledge to understand that every fae possessed a talent, while even stronger sorts held power over many magicks. Secretive experimentation led to the discovery of his own gift--a small touch of magic to plants. Flowers bloomed early and trees bore fruit in the wrong season. The brothel's modest garden soon had its share of bountiful harvest no matter the weather and its caretakers thanked the powers that be for the blessing, never knowing the true culprit of their abundance. In time, the changeling grew into an attractive hostess, gathering customers and suitors like a candle gathers moths. Too intelligent for her own good, the brothel's head set the boy's purchase at an absurd 100,000 pieces of gold, a price only a lord could even hope to afford. Meanwhile, she raked in the profits of selling the surprisingly willing prostitute's body. For his part, Star didn't terribly mind his trade once the initial terror had passed and his innocence was lost. The townsfolk maintained an air of dignity and superiority over the brothel's workers, but Star knew them for what they were at night when the sexually frustrated and the perpetually lustful came knocking on the gaudy silver filigree of the business's doors. Not so noble, after all, especially when the local priest prayed for forgiveness from his many gods while tucked between Star's thighs. He could have continued like that until youth and beauty both had deserted him--until the brothel had no more use for an aging whore--but the province lord's messenger came running one day with a missive for the brothel to deliver its finest. In that group were the most lucrative earners of the business, including Star. As greed and hedonism would have it, the lord kept all of them, paying out even Star's gouged price as if the imposing man had nothing else for his coffers to purchase. The local brothel's best joined several other groups from similar businesses around the province, adding to the lord's harem by the dozens and assigned to various high-ranking servants in the palace as personal concubines. The cream of the crop was reserved for the noble family's use and while the lord himself had no attraction to men, his fifth son Valen found a strange fascination with the changeling who walked as if on air, assured and relaxed regardless of the change in environment. Their relationship went no further than nobleman and concubine, but Star developed a certain fondness for his new exclusive customer. It was the fineness of his hair or the smoothness of his skin or just the way he held Star in a careful lover's embrace, but the result was the same: fondness to attraction, and for once Star couldn't shake off the lingering crush. One chaotic night. Screams and the smell of blood and viscera. A hidden passage the lord's son had shown him. And Star only remembered cowering as far into the secret alcove as he could, hands over his ears and eyes squeezed shut. Murder. No. Massacre. The dead lined the hallways like ghastly decor and crimson was the color of the night. A monster in the guise of the lord's son, eyes black and empty behind the skin it had donned. He remembered staring at liquid black where the crisp gray of those eyes should have been. And then darkness. The castle was clean when he woke up. The monster in the noble's body stood at his bedside. Words failed to exchange and for long, silent minutes they stared at one another. It was Star who gave in at last, bowing his head in submission. The face remained his lord's son. The eyes were a stranger. A monster. He told himself he was staying because he had no choice. Because he would die if he tried to run away. Because he wanted to believe the only emotion holding him back was fear.

Changeling/Fae

Part of the myriad types of fae in the area, Star is a changeling--a fairy swapped for a human infant while in the womb and stricken of most fairy talents except the ability to see his fellow fae and the unique gift each fairy possesses. Permanently imbued with human form, Star at least retains the youthful grace of his kindred woodland fairies, a blessing in the shallow human society of his province and a particular stroke of luck given his profession.

Seduce the Flowers

Despite what Star jokingly calls his power, the ability is quite potent--on plants. Harvests will grow weeks faster than planned and neither pests nor pestilence will touch a single fiber of any crops Star has charmed. Fruits and vegetables mature fat and sweet, and ears of grain unfurl hale and hearty. Wherever Star goes, he leaves behind a pastoral paradise, though the abundance of misery in the world makes it hard for him to enjoy the small corner of heaven he can create. Pretending to not care can only stave off the tension for so long.

Incubus

Star will give you a spicy time in bed (or in any other location you prefer). His fingers know where to roam and he can curl a cherry stem into a knot with his tongue, among other pleasing talents like flexibility and a boundless amount of "situational creativity."

Green Thumb

Given his power, Star has made it a hobby to cultivate plants. He may not know the botanical terminology, but he can certainly match any educated gardener with his self-taught knowledge and experimentation. Besides, if all else fails, he can make it grow regardless.

Fae Sight

As a natural part of his heritage, Star can see the fae folk glamoured or not. He doesn't interact much with them (especially not the more malevolent ones), but he is aware of their presences and careful of the sorts that enjoy wreaking havoc on human society.

Iron Enervation

Iron does not sear skin as it would normal fairies, but the touch of it still leaves Star short of breath and dizzyingly uncomfortable. More than several minutes of prolonged contact and he's liable to faint. An extended stay in any iron-dense container will likely kill him. Despite his human form, the fairy weakness remains even if lesser.

Everything Else

Aside from growing a fantastic sunflower, Star has no defenses against, well, anything. Death can come for him as easily as it does any other human.

Unmentionables, Gifts, and Jewelry

Plenty of ornate earrings, necklaces, and bracelets from various suitors during his time at the brothel. Star keeps these and other inappropriate things in a hidden compartment of his large jewelry box where he stores less valuable items and miscellaneous knick-knacks like quills and notebooks gifted by more eccentric patrons of his services.

Valen Astor

Not quite in love but not quite a stranger to the previous lord's son, Star is drawn to what remains of the sweet and silly nobleman he once knew, even if all that remains is physical. Unaware of what caused the massacre and afraid to broach the topic with the new monster-lord of the province, Star has remained steadfastly and fearfully in place both physically and mentally. He applies the face of an eager concubine for the sake of maintaining appearances (and his sanity), but there's a subtle desperation below the surface in his every interaction with the monster that had taken over the body of his lord's son and massacred the noble's family line. He doesn't want to believe it, but there's nothing left of the man whose presence brought him both tranquility of mind and heart.

VÉRITÉ - "Weekend" (Almond & FKYA Remix) Flight Facilities - "Crave You"
