[b]Personality(Optional):[/b] Kate is quite sensible, and doesn’t take risks. She likes to plan, and she likes it when things go according to said plan, and doesn’t necessarily cope well when things get derailed. She works hard, and she’s good at working hard, and she probably wouldn’t know recklessness if it came and made her sit through a two-hundred slide power-point-presentation on the subject. She knows that Lightbridge university is the first-class ticket she needs to get to the life she wants, and she’s not going to let it go for anything - but with her studies, her job, and her frequent forays into CV-boosting volunteer work, she has a lot of plates spinning and it’s getting hard for her to keep track. She knows what she wants and she’s not afraid to go after it, even if that’s at a detriment to herself.
 
Kate wears her heart on her sleeve. Regardless of whether she’s happy, sad, or excited about something, she’s more than happy to share with the world - a problem shared is a problem halved, and she’s never known any other way. She gives every relationship in her life her all, and she expects the same from others in return. She’s the kind of person to take everything personally, in part due to her self-esteem issues and accompanying anxiety, and in part because she really does care that much. 

[b]Occupation:[/b] A second year student studying physics at the university, Kate also works part time at Johnny’s to pay for stuff. 

[b]History (Optional)[/b]: Kate’s a long way from home and not looking to go back any time soon. If asked, she says she doesn’t talk to her Mum anymore, and it’s true - she ignores any calls or emails she gets. All’s anyone needs to know is that she’s in Lightbridge now, and there’s nothing here to hold her back.

[b]Semblance Type:[/b] Unfettered

[b]Semblance Appearance:[/b] Made from some kind of black material, the semblance is simple in shape and covers the whole face. Around the mouth and eyeholes, jagged spikes that glow brightly erupt outwards, like something ripped its way out from behind. The surface is covered in deep scratches and gauges through which bright light seems to escape.

[b]Semblance Abilities:[/b] 

[b]Kaboom![/b] - Kate has the power to blow up pretty much anything with the palm of her hand, creating a blast with a radius varying from a few micrometers to about seven meters. Doing this requires a good deal of concentration as well as physical contact - smaller blasts require small amounts of energy but a large amount of concentration, larger blasts require more energy, but less concentration. Using this ability is quite mentally taxing.

[b]Swish![/b] - This is more instinctual than anything else, but she has the ability to become incorporeal for a few seconds. She can’t consciously control this ability, as it happens as an automatic response to kaboom, allowing her to be unharmed by larger blasts. 

[b]Fwoosh![/b] - Can create concussive forces that blast her into the air, originating once more from the palms of her hands. Differs from Kaboom! in that Swish! is not also activated at the same time.
