For each Beginning, there is an End."
𝕻𝖆𝖗’𝕾𝖆𝖙𝖍 𝕰𝖙𝖍’𝕰𝖗𝖆𝖝

The Apostle of Death/Guide of the Damned/The Deathless One

π•²π–Šπ–“π–Šπ–—π–†π–‘ π–‰π–Šπ–˜π–ˆπ–—π–Žπ–•π–™π–Žπ–”π–“

π•½π–†π–ˆπ–Š
Deathless. Before becoming a Servant of Death, Parsath used to be an Ancient Dragon.
π•¬π–Œπ–Š
Parsath lived for millennials. There is no actual accurate record of his existence in the annals of humanity.
π•Ύπ–Žπ–Ÿπ–Š
As a spirit-kin, Etherax holds no real form, and thus doesn’t have any real weight or height. However, the soul-bound set of armor and clothes the Apostle of Death uses to manifest himself to the few rare mortals are of an imposing approximate of 6 foot and 6 inches tall.
π•²π–Šπ–“π–‰π–Šπ–—
Again, as a spirit, the Damned Guide has no gender, but used to be a male Dragon in his previous life. His voice is that of a creature whenever he speaks, echoing in a deep and sinister whisper.
π•Ύπ–Šπ–π–šπ–†π–‘π–Žπ–™π–ž
None. The Deathless Dragon transcended desires as his spirit ascended to become a Deathless.
π•½π–Šπ–‘π–Žπ–Œπ–Žπ–”π–“
Par'Sath worships the concept of Death, the Great Beyond and Life after Death as a fundamental rule of existence.
𝕡𝖔𝖇
By orders of the Dark Lord Lancelot himself, the Deathless One has been assigned as the one that will ensure the safety of his troops. Holding power over Death, one of Eth'Erax many duties is to determine whenever a fallen Dark Knight is fit to return to life after an untimely departure.Representing the welfare of the other Dark Knights, the Apostle also has the duty of keeping his peers from falling on the battlefield using his abilities to prevent death and mend wounds. Outside the battlefield, Par'Sath duties are purely religious for those turning to the concept of Death as their ultimate salvation. As the clerical head of such religion, the Damned Guide conducts rituals of all sorts for the recently departed souls. Some are allowed passage to the doors of the Great Beyond, while others are kept in reserve for an eventual return, or even cruelly used as fuel for the other Dark Knights' diverse bidding.
π•»π–Šπ–—π–˜π–”π–“π–†π–‘π–Žπ–™π–ž

The Death Apostle is a keen being. Wise, analytic, focused, calm, those are all adjectives to describe the ascended spirit-kin. It is believed that his enlightened state of mind has destroyed the principles of sins or virtues from his very soul, leaving him as a stern and cold watcher. Dispassionate and disconnected are best used when talking about Parsath's social life. It's not that he can't hold a conversation, far from it, but it is rather from nihilistic designs that he seems so far from everyone. In the end, the Deathless One knows that everything is but a fleeting moment in an endless eternity. Everything has an end, and so is preferable to not get attached to that which will eventually be lost. That however doesn't prevent him from having lengthy discussions with those who are willing to stay and benefit from his wisdom and knowledge. However, something obscure and unsettling remains behind this shadowy mask. Whether it had always been present ever since Eth'Erax became a Deathless, a fragment of his past self before the ascension or even something attained from speaking with the Dark Lord, this hidden persona is likely what drove him from working under the likes of Lancelot.

π•π–Žπ–”π–Œπ–—π–†π–•π–π–ž
In his living, the Black Dragon known as Par’Sath Eth’Erax was of a studious kind. It is said that greed was the driving factor of these mighty beasts, and the Deathless one was of no exception. His lust for knowledge was so great that eventually, after spending so much time among humankind, the Dragon had nothing left to learn. It was after spending so much time wondering what could possibly be done that the immortal being contemplated death. But death would be a waste of his knowledge. To have gathered so much, there was a way to keep it all even as he would disappear from this plane of existence. The more Etherax thought about it, the more he cursed himself for being so greedy. There were uses of this knowledge, but he wasn’t willing to put it to actual use. He had ruled villages, towns, cities, countries, empires even over the eras with this knowledge, but it was vain, as nothing was everlasting, and eternity was a lonesome existence. One day, the empire Etherax had built had crumbled, as the sudden disappearance of its ruler threw the lands in turmoil and ended the legacy in its aftermath. Since then, Parsath was never heard of again. Some say he got bored of the life of opulence he was living, some said he had been assassinated during one fateful night, his corpse carried away. How exactly did this ancient being came from being recruited by Lancelot? Only the infamous Knight and Etherax know. As far as his motives are, perhaps there was still something in the old being that attracted the Deathless to the Dark Knight’s proposal. A fateful uprising that seemed to distinguish this rise to power from the others. Ever since Lancelot took the power for himself, it would appear the sinister sight of a Reaper followed in his wake.

π•¬π–•π–•π–Šπ–†π–—π–†π–“π–ˆπ–Š

While being basically ethereal, Par’Sath decided to appear to the mortals as a being akin to an armored monk, or the manifestation of a battle-ready Reaper. The heavy set of armor and robes the Deathless is bound to give him a ghostly and gaunt but imposing appearance, towering well over 6 feet high. If it wasn’t for the black void behind his hood, the animated armor could as well be mistaken for a giant of a man. Behind him, ghostly apparition of his wings can be seen as a mark of the armor being possessed by the spirit. Those wings are the reflection of the dragon's wings the Apostle had before his ascension. They are purely symbolic and hold no ability of flight.

π•Ώπ–—π–†π–Žπ–™π–˜ 𝖆𝖓𝖉 π•°π––π–šπ–Žπ–•π–’π–Šπ–“π–™

The Deathless kin are spiritual beings that transcended their mortal shell after obtaining true enlightenment through the course of their life. Because life is short to earn this level of spirituality, beings that hold long longevity or basically immortal are usually the suitable candidates to becoming a Deathless. Needless to say, those spirit-kin are few in numbers, but each devotes themselves to the Great Beyond, in one way or the other. Most chooses to not interact with the world of the living, leaving the mortals to their designs and ambitions, while the Deathless roams the world ensuring the balance of Life and Death is properly maintained.

As an Apostle of Death, Par’Sath Eth’Erax rules over the realm of the dead, but only to an extend. Being the Guide of the Apostles, the Deathless One holds dominion over souls, spirits and literally death. While Parsath is in an area, the Dragon of old controls the flow of souls, effectively seizing them before they can even leave their body, and judges whether someone dies or not. As such, it is up to him to decide what to do with a soul as it leaves the body. It is entirely possible for Etherax to prevent a soul being stolen, imprisonned, eaten and even utterly destroyed while his presence is near.

Body Reconstruction
As long as a soul is being held by the Apostle, the latter can effectively reconstruct its old body from scratch. The body lay lifeless as long as its soul is not being returned to the body. However, rebuilding a whole body has its limits, as it will degrade with each reconstruction. A reconstructed body will lose a third of its original strength and durability after the process. It is entirely possible to regain that loss over time with intense physical training. This spell can only be used twice on a single body, after which a different method of resurrecting must be used, the body will have become too unstable to properly rebuild a third time.

Soul Reconstruction
In a similar fashion to reconstructing a body, the Deathless Guide can reconstruct a soul that has been torn asunder, effectively returning a sentient being back to existence. Rebuilding a soul takes away a third of the soul's original magic potential, affecting the overall power of magic usage. The same limit of two reconstructions applies to soul constructing, as a third rebuild would make the soul too unstable to hold into a physical body.

Curse Breaker
As the Deathless Apostle holds dominion over those fated to die, Lancelot's Priest can effectively remove any curse burdening them.

Eternal Rest
Etherax's command over souls is powerful enough to allow him to cast disembodied spirits back to the Realm Beyond. Any spiritual creature with a soul targeted by this spell are banished from the material world and sent back where they belong to.

Aspect of the Deathless
Whatever supernatural or physical abilities one might have possessed due to their racial heritage, a Deathless loses all of them, as they are now a shapeless ethereal being that no longer associates with their kin in their previous life. As a spirit-kin, they can no longer be affected by mundane objects. Everything physical or immaterial that aren’t magical in nature cannot affect them. As a spirit, the Deathless Apostle can fly at amazing speed and maneuverability. Moreso, his soul can bind itself to any object in order to manifest himself to the mortal world. In his ethereal form, Par'Sath cannot interact with the material plane of existence or its denizens, but can freely do so with souls, spirits, immaterial beings and magical manifestations. In this aspect, Par'Sath is nigh indestructible, as his spirit is one with the Great Beyond. It is possible to disrupt the spirit of the Deathless one with magic, but he will eventually come back after a while until his soul is entirely destroyed.

Master of Funerals
As it was implied for his job, Parsath is a more than an expert when it comes to laying souls to rest. Funerary rituals, grave keeping, praying for the dead; he does it all with mastery.

Knowledge of Old
Having lived on this world for so long and studying the mortals with keen interest, the Apostle of Death has formidable knowledge on every subject. Likewise for skills, but practice makes perfect, and over the ages some more physically-involved skills were dulled and may be not as good as someone constantly training in the domain.

Aspect of the Deathless
When bound to an object, Par'Sath can be expulsed from the object by using incredibly strong banishing magic that rivals the Apostle's control over souls, or by destroying the object entirely. Once expulsed, Eth'Erax can no long interact with physical beings and objects, rendering him useless against physical threats. In his ethereal form, the Deathless Apostle can be injured by using magic. To truly destroy his spirit, powerful magic must be used to sever the soul from his ties with the real of Death. It is a daunting task as it requires magic surpassing Parsath's own mastery over souls to achieve.

Duties of the Guide
As the spiritual Guide of the damned, Par'Sath's role as a Deathless restricts him from altering the flow of Death. As such, Eth'Erax is unable to cast any kind of spells that directly interacts with the living, efficiently all kind of spellcasting, aside his Apostle magic.

Oath of the Apostle
Serving the realm of Death, the Guiding One has vowed to keep watch on the world of the living and not interfere with Life to an extent. As such, the ancient spiritual Dragon is forbidden from causing harm to any living being and block attacks meant for others using his own body as a shield.

Shovel
Just a simple shovel, for burying/unearthing.

π•³π–”π–šπ–—π–Œπ–‘π–†π–˜π–˜ 𝖔𝖋 π•±π–†π–™π–Š

This powerful artifact, given to Par'Sath by Lancelot himself to ensure the Apostle is able to provide aid to his fellow Dark Knights, has the power to reverse someone's time, completely removing any injury or ailment inflicted upon a chosen recipient. When the power of the artifact is used, the ghostly sand inside the hourglass drips down and disappears. To refill the hourglass, the Apostle seize the remnants of spiritual residue left by by the souls he has helped move on to the Great Beyond. The hourglass has an indefinite amount of divine energy, but each healing spends an amount determined by the potency of its uses. If one is keen-eyes, they would see only one half of the hourglass is ever used, filled with ghostly-looking sand. The other half always seems to be empty. In fact, the other half is used to store recently-deceased souls into the hourglass, so that Par'Sath can lay them to rest properly in a more appropriate time. Whenever a deceased spirit enters the hourglass, the empty half of the artifact seems to be filled with blood.

π•Ίπ–™π–π–Šπ–—
Theme Song
