It occurs to me that we also need to decide which islands each character hails from. I imagine in Dirk's case, he'd have spent most of his life on and subsequently escaped from the Yuushuu's home island, which is presumably a fairly large, but otherwise relatively standard place. In fact, maybe they're the de facto rulers, so let's call it Yuushuu Island, or Excellence Island if we don't want the language melding.
