A fifteen or twenty minute walk was probably for the best anyway. Geni seemed distracted by his nap, Luke seemed distracted by another girl, and Grat seemed like she would stab whatever distracted her in the heart. He'd slip out, carry his bike back, and hopefully by then everyone would have settled into whatever rhythm they usually worked in and there would be no one left to bother him.
