[color=lightgray][b][i]The year of 2099 was a rough one for what used to be the United States. Now simply just five larger areas in North America, Alchemax basically owned the northeastern States. Stark-Fujikawa owned a large portion out west. There was even an area somewhere around the Great Lakes now called the 'Bad Lands' where hundreds of savage Hulk-like creatures roamed free. Spiderman has fought against the crooked government and corporate influence of Alchemax over the mega-city now called Nueva York for several months now. Once addicted to a drug called 'rapture' before becoming a superpowered hero, Miguel O'Hara was shocked to learn the drug was really taking a toll on the people of downtown. He got a lead on the guy manufacturing the drug, called the Chemist, but when Miguel approached the vile human being he was caught off guard by the grotesque creatures the Chemist had morphed ordinary people into. When Spiderman tried time and again to shut down the Chemist' operation, the one time renowned doctor helped several of Spiderman's deadliest enemies escape prison. 

Now the cannibalistic Vulture is putting his gang back together. Mutagen began killing several people in the downtown area for their sickness and abnormalities. Flipside was now posing as Spiderman's friend once again. The Scorpion of this era was also now on the loose and seemingly targeting his father and CEO of Alchemax, Tyler Stone.

To say the least, the Spiderman of the future could use some help. What heroes will rise and what legacies will be reborn in this cyberpunk future ruled by corporate greed? What other enemies will make themselves known? Enhanced humans, geniuses, mutants, inhumans, or aliens perhaps?!?[/i][/b][/color]

[sub]Downtown, where the poor barely survive...[/sub][/center]

This RP will be a bit different in format from my other games just because I'm having fun experimenting in my Justice League Unlimited RP that's ALWAYS accepting. Marvel 2099 will set up the lower class downtown streets of Nueva York, the middle class mid-level lifestyle's of Midtown, and the neon lights and giant buildings that took up airspace in Uptown. Oh and one other thing... the police are a privatized group of mercs with high powered tech and flying cycles called the Public Eye. They don't really care for superheroes. However... I was talking about this being different. Now you can be a hero and banter with Spiderman on occasion and help deal with his released enemies as well as the drug addicts of Downtown... or you could create a supervillain. The idea is if you submit a CS for a villain you're looking for a hero to arch for. Anybody ever see Venture Bros? Now I'm not talking contracts for fighting each other or a League of Supervillains with an incredible rule book and code. Just finding a hero to hate among the heroes submitted. 

The only cannon I'm using are bits here and there from the classic Spiderman 2099 series, and later on perhaps bits from his current series. This is meant to be the future of the Marvel Universe with a good bit of cyberpunk thrown in, with flying cars, Public Eye surveillance, and the aforementioned villains on the loose already. Now that I think of it, anybody submitting a supervillain CS could even have a rivalry with another established enemy! Also, the North American territories are still under the rule of a President and a House of Reps. The main thing, is that SHIELD is now the private police squad of the President and can operate in any territory.

[s]So... if there's enough interest I'll write up a Character Sheet model and get to work on a character of my own.[/s] I'm looking for around eight or so players to get started and I'll likely accept as many as 10-12 if the quality of the CS is superb. All characters don't have to be tied to past Marvel characters, but I'd prefer at least half of them to be. You can put whatever spin you want on a character to make them your own in the future. For example in the current Spiderman 2099 series, an Atlantian xenobiologist with octopus like tentacles coming out of his back is the new Doc Ock. And a service android that was jolted with some unknown electric energy was given sentience and became the new Electro. You could be a descendant, possible grandchild of current Marvel characters or completely change it up. Skies pretty much the limit here people.

Remember you can apply as a hero or villain, or even anti-hero! Wanna put your own spin on Black Panther? Maybe the grandson of somebody like Hank Pym or the granddaughter of Magneto, or an all new Shadowcat completely changed from the ground up?
