A wave of unease hit Bonny the second the doors to the truck were opened. The ride there had been a growing ball of silent tension for her, with nothing to do but wait for the inevitable. Deep breathing, tapping her foot, none of them really helped to settle her nerves for when they got there. Booker had went to take the lead, standing in front of the group with a rather hard look and ordering them to move. Well, he was certainly doing a good job of his acting. His words and actions sent a slight shiver down her spine- he felt like a whole different person. She stepped out after Shawn, trying to avoid looking at anyone in the group in order to look natural. It looked like Shawn had the whole ‘don’t just speak in english’ thing down, much to her relief. Although her verbal language wasn’t able to help disguise her, her body language helped her blend in and fit the role of terrified, stolen child. Mostly because she was, in fact, very terrified. She was hunched over a little, silent, eyes darting around the building in a mix of curiosity and fear. She took in everything around her as they were marched further and further into the building; although she didn’t have the time to look over each screen and device in detail, she could gather that whatever it was doing wasn’t very good. Once they crossed the odd coloured door and reached further into the lab, Bonny nearly froze at the sight she was met with. There were kids, just like them, except dehumanized, strapped down and prodded and examined more like rats than people. She turned her head away after the first few seconds of looking, unable to stomach the sight. The reassurance they’d be able to save them was a relief, but just the thought of it even happening in the first place… She stood in awkward silence as the group waited around, and listened to Laura as she gave instruction. Incapacitate people? She didn’t have the skill for that. Maybe she could, like, slap someone. But not much else without her mutation. Bonnys eyes darted between everyone else in the group, hoping that the rest of the kids were secret martial arts masters or something.
