Some were passed down from the young man's family due to him showing leader qualities for a few years. Others are secrets that his friends have shared or what he heard through the grape vine. In reality the guy is protective over his family members which only shows when they are doing something very stupid. The Soul Reaper is much more serrious than her lets on especially when it comes to discussions and such trivial things, granted when asked of his opinion, all the flaws come to light.

As a child Corrigan was rather a spoiled brat by Mino but this didn't help lessen his curiosity about the outside world. As his family grew the young man noticed a change in his step brother. This slowly began to ring alarm bell inside the boy's mind, making the second oldest rather fearful of his own flesh and blood. As time went on he would soon find out what was really going on behind their closed doors. This would also be the reason the young man faked his own death and ran away from their village.

The day started out like any other. A simple wake up call, breakfast, and then chores to follow up. Though when Corrigan walked down the stairs he noticed that his father was speaking in a hushed voice. The young man slowly approached and hide behind a wall listening to the conversation, not sensing that his siblings were just a few inches away, and noted that the unfamiliar woman was pregnant. A few more words were exchanged and the two lovers parted making the situation that much more obvious. The young man knew that some men in the village would knock up different women in order to enhance their influences inside the village and yet he couldn't believe that his father was one of those people.

Later that evening the woman once again came into the simple home and was greeted by Mino. Just as the two were walking in the living room the oldest stopped in his tracks. His eyes meet with his younger brother's, a creepy smile forming, as he introduced his real mother. The child continued to tell Corrigan about their father's plans of killing his current wife and moving in his real soul mate back into the home.

This caused a panicked response within the child making him flee from the hidden safety area and never look back. As he wondered the streets the guy ran into a family that took him in and raised him as one of their own granted that this too had some tragedies in it.
