Background: Like many Filipinos, Jason was inspired by the sudden rise of Manny Pacquiao and his dominance in boxing. Despite being a well versed athlete in high school there was something about boxing and it’s “purity” that drawn Jason to fully commit his time to focus on the sweet science. Despite most Filipinos being “smaller” in stature, Jason comes from strong genetics that fortunately have allowed him a size to compete at a higher weight class than his idol. While Kevin has had numerous successful amateur boxing accolades such as being a Golden Gloves winner, Kevin ultimately decided to enroll in the the MMA Academy to test himself while also seeking to be the Manny Pacquiao of MMA.
