As Lucille drifted around lazily in the pool her eyes caught on Amelia's.  She didn't know Amelia very well and didn't know sign language either.  But Amelia looked so innocent and lonely in the moment that Lucille hefted herself out of the pool, walked over to where her phone was lying on a towel and looked up some basic sign language for "hi" and "how are you".  She practiced to herself silently, hoping that it was right before walking over to Amelia, long legs gleaming with water drops.  She paused in front of the girl and silently started gesturing with her hands.
[i]Please hope I'm right[/i] Lucille thought to herself.  She finished and smiled at Amelia, flicking back a strand of hair and scattering droplets everywhere.
