You are all gathered on the island of Ferris.  This island has a volcano in the center of it and is covered in thick pine vegetation. Its off the coast of atlas but due to volcanic activity is relatively warm.
The island is known for two things, a particularly nasty breed of red dust from the mines near the base of the volcano, and its iron, and subsequently steel
This has led to a small but well off weapon industry on the island that has been around since before the great war. Ferris was never known for making hunters, but its weapons hold special places in the hearts of hunters and huntress's who wield them.
You're all here to attend the new school Iron Forrest academy. Could have shown up from any of the continents for any reason or been a local, but these students were accepted here, whether locals, couldn't get into the bigger academies or any number of reasons, Iron Forrest Welcomes them.
