It's a funny thing, isn't it? It can go quickly and it can go slowly, it can come to a standstill, it can be different between two locations. All of these ideas are normal to us. We say little sayings about time each day, but never for a moment does anyone truly believe them. Time doesn't actually speed up and nor does it slow down--it's just our perception! We invented time, after all...didn't we? It's not really real, now is it? But while those thoughts may have been true for you the day before, they don't seem true anymore. Eudora's spell was designed to send a user back in time to the location of an ancestor--and without all of the ingredients, it did something very different. It stopped time. Well, nearly stopped...time technically cannot stop entirely. It can only become so slow that it is impossible to distinguish it from being anything but stopped. And while those at the circus are in Frozen Time, since it is still 6:31 P.M. for them, others in the world are going about their business. The events of Frozen Time, to them, never happened. Only a few in the world have any notion that time stalled. So to you, my friends at the circus, the entire world has stopped. But to everyone else, the world kept moving on. So at this moment of posting, Aloise and Liam and all? They're in the future relative to those posting for the circus. Doesn't that just mess with your head?

Andromeda Aldrich

Location: Cirque Anomaly, Main Tent - December 28th, 2016 - 6:31 P.M. [s]Local[/s] Frozen Time Interacting With: Faust and the Demon Elimination Squad ([@BlueSky44][@Nallore][@Witch Cat][@FantasyChic])

Andromeda helped Fairfax to his feet after Eudora checked on the man, nodding at Emmie as the girl came over. He was doing remarkably better ever since time itself had stopped, a small detail that would've easily escaped anyone's notice in the heat of the fight. But with Thalia's condition, they now had another problem present itself. One of their group felt best when time stopped and the other seemed to be getting weaker and weaker. "I've got her," Fairfax said, hurrying over to Thalia. He didn't know the girl, but she looked like one of the circus members, and he knew Amiyra had a deep love for the circus. Fortunately, Thalia's pain would subside as she became more and more aware of the disturbances with time. It was like shutting off an alarm--it was noted and dealt with. "We need to trap the demon," Andromeda mentioned to Emmie. She glanced around the circus tent and didn't see any paint or rolls of tape anywhere. They'd have to go straight to an exorcism--but that wouldn't bring any justice to her father. However, Andromeda reached into her pockets and pulled out the two holy water vials she kept with her. "It's holy water. If we can hit the demon with this, maybe Eudora will have a spell or something to paralyze him," Andromeda suggested. Meanwhile, Lilith's goading of the demon seemed to have paid off. Faust's eyes turned permanently black as he lifted himself to his feet once more, his host's limbs moving at odd angles, as if he had temporarily forgotten how humans moved. Holding out his hand, Folly flew towards the demon quickly, with Faust holding her by the neck. "You talk too much," Faust scorned Lilith, his grip cutting off Folly's air supply. The girl gasped and struggled, kicking at the man and trying to free herself, but Faust was inhumanly strong. She couldn't break free. He choked the life out of her and dropped her to the floor, almost identically to what her father had done ages ago, the night Boris had attempted to murder Folly. Local Time Interacting With: Olivia Johnson [@Nallore]

For some reason, Aloise felt compelled for a moment to be completely honest with Dr. Johnson. She could have explained that she had suspicions that someone in Coventry was being possessed by a demon, perhaps even within the police department. It would've been a good strategic move for a demon, that way they could monitor O.M.E.N.'s activities quietly based on how heavily their presence was involved. But Aloise didn't feel like being thrown into an asylum that day. Two years ago, she had spent her birthday like that while working a case and it hadn't been fun at all. Monsters were practically impossible to kill when they were disguised as a psychiatrist. "Yes, I'm afraid so...The biohazard, when it enters a living host, causes people to act in strange and irrational ways," Aloise lied smoothly. She didn't know much about medicine and diseases, but everyone was terrified of biohazards. She met a hunter before who swore by using them as a cover story. "I need to speak to him now, so that way I can assess and then quarantine if needed. The...the disease is fatal if not treated within a week of infection," Aloise then added, trying to get Olivia to hurry to rescue a friend and not be suspicious of Aloise's own motives. With Liam vanishing through a cabinet and ending up chasing down a murderer, she really just wanted a nice and easy end to the case that day. Local Time Interacting With: Carolina Reed [@Nallore], Liam Matthews [@Pundii], Detective Hanson, Agent Keenan

Hanson chuckled slightly, flipping out his phone and actually writing down in a note Cowboys for the next Super-Bowl win. Come February, if Hanson was still alive, he would be sorely disappointed in the Prophet's abilities. But Keenan, of course, was just giving Liam the look. It was one common among cops, when a suspect-soon-to-be-sex-offender was attempting to rat someone else out to save their own necks. "Right..." Keenan said, sighing a bit. He was an O.M.E.N. agent, so he knew that some people did get visions, but Aloise had done such a good job making sure O.M.E.N. didn't get wind of Liam that they hadn't heard about Prophets before. She had done it for his safety and protection, the same she had done for Seraphina. Hanson though, he knew about stuff like this. He was still just too tickled by Liam stripping naked to flirt to think for a minute. "Yo, boss, we got a runner," Hanson mentioned, elbowing Keenan and nodding towards where Carolina and October had been. But it wasn't the two girls he was looking at. October and Carolina had already slipped out the back exit and were heading towards Liam's motorcycle. October had fished the keys from the assorted pile on the way out, given that Liam had only had his trousers returned to him. The blonde was grinning widely at the bike. She had no clue at all how to drive it, but she was dying to find out. "Shit. Brunette's gone," Keenan cursed, before glancing at Liam. "Fine. You're off the hook--for now."
