She doesn't have much to show in terms of any muscle, but is pretty athletic from keeping up a regular workout routine. Her hair is dark, dark brown and more on the wavy and frizzy side, reaching her mid back when worn down. She is dark of eye with a rosy skin tone, a sprinkling of freckles on her face, shoulders, and arms, inherited from her father. Her smile is slightly crooked from a childhood injury where she badly damaged her lip after falling during an ice skating accident which required stitches. A big fan of mom jeans and crop tops and tends to favor whatever is comfortable and cheap in terms of clothing. Her immigrant mother met her recently divorced father when his sons were two and five years old, leaving a three year age gap between herself and the youngest boy, Daniel. She spent her early childhood living in Charlotte with her family until work called her father up to Massachusetts for work when she was fourteen, taking his family with him. She wasn't happy about leaving her friends and the only home she had known, and became very sullen after the move. She missed the warmth of the south and simply despised the northern winters. However, she slowly came out of her shell as she made friends and adapted to her new home. She was always a very smart girl, and did fairly well in school. She had always wanted to become an astronaut when she grew up, but the older she got, the more impractical it seemed. Still, she had a fascination with space, and didn't want to give that up. Being good with numbers and having a love of science, she decided very early on that she wanted to be an astrophysicist, as she found the subject matter to be truly fascinating. After graduating high school, she did two years at Massachusetts Institute of Technology before transferring in to Harvard to finish her undergrad and continue her masters. In her first year of college, her parents got her a puppy as a going away present, though she had explicit instructions to train Hye to be a guard dog. Her parents had always been very protective of her and her siblings growing up, sometimes unreasonably so, but Nari couldn't argue with that. She studied the Russian language during school, as she ultimately wanted to work for NASA, which used to work closely with their Russian counterpart. She and her best friend were taking a little weekend vacation to visit the latter's family, making the short drive with Hye in tow when the attack happened. In the mayhem, she was separated from her friend. Terrified and unable to return home or contact her family in the chaos, she checked into a motel to hide out for a bit. Via her laptop, she managed to find out about the guerrilla effort, and decided to join. She may not be a fighter, but she could do a lot from behind the scenes, which would give her a chance to find out whether or not her family was still alive.

Nari comes off rather shy timid sort, but her introverted first impression conceals a spunky and clever side exhibited with people she is comfortable with. She's generally very sweet and mellow, but has a subtle feistiness to her that proves she isn't one to be walked over. She is very smart with numbers and computers, though not so much with people, and can be a but oblivious to social cues and quicker humor at times if she is not familiar with a person. She's practical and quick thinking, and is good at coming up with effective solutions on the fly if need be. She's a sensitive sort with a soft spot for people in general, and is very put off by the whole invasion. She believes her expertise can help the resistance, but ultimately wants to get back to her family. She is just as protective of Hye as he is of her, and the two are practically inseparable.
