As a Chikorita she lived most of her life with her parents on the outskirts of Folio Town, nestled high in the branches of a gargantuan tree that existed near the center of the Sand Continent. She was always cautious of strangers, living on the outer branches which never saw much foot traffic. She lived a solitary life with her parents. She was happy, that was all that mattered to them. Then one day it all changed. Their home caught fire and was nearly burned to the ground by the time Guild Members arrived. Luckily the family escaped unharmed, and the fire was labeled an accident. Brute never believed that story, but there was nothing they could do about it. As a result, the family moved closer to town. After that, Brute began training his daughter how to defend herself every day. She hated every minute of it, she detested fighting. She never understood why Pokemon always had to fight. On the other side of the spectrum, her mother enrolled her in school in Folio. Immediately she was the odd one out, having never been around kids her own age. And, she immediately became the target of local bullies. Eventually, due to the training from her father and the torment she faced at school, she evolved into Bayleef. Her parents were so happy for her, but things remained unchanged at school. Many other local kids had also evolved, and they still picked on her constantly. Eventually, she stopped training with her father and even began ditching school until Summer, where she spent as much time away from crowds as possible. She didn't stop trying to make friends, however. But, her awkwardness and shyness often prevented her from even maintaining a proper conversation with other kids. She thought she'd be this way forever, until one fateful day at Town Square. A Guild Member had just returned to Folio badly hurt, and she was one of the first there by chance. While she tried to help, the bullies never let up. She was sent away in tears, and headed into the outskirts where she normally went when she was upset. It was on this day that she was followed, not by a bully, but by someone who had grown tired of seeing her be bullied. She was about the same age, and her name was Ember, a Quilava. While it was a somewhat rocky start, the two talked and grew rather close in their short time together. As the two headed back towards town, they met two more who seemed about their age, one of which had also stood up for her. For the first time she'd found a group of kids who didn't judge her and that she could talk with. Friends. Eventually she learned that one of them, a Totodile named Devon, was actually a Human sent from another world to save theirs. She had always heard the stories, but never believed she'd actually ever meet one. Together with Ember, Devon, and a Shiny Kirlia named Lilisette, the four formed Team Horizon, and set out on their first mission together. Personality: Since she was a Chikorita she's always been wary of strangers. She's always had a shy and somewhat awkward personality that often got in the way of meeting new Pokemon or making friends. However, beneath that is a sweet, kind, thoughtful, and rather intelligent girl. She detests violence as a means of settling a dispute, and refuses to come to blows unless absolutely necessary. She believes there's always an alternative solution to fighting, but both sides views are often clouded and need to be cleared to see the truth. Important Items: None, Yet... Notes:
