In my head, this future is like a mix of the [lmao, I guess it was a couple years ago] 2015 future presented in Back 2 the Future mixed with Blade Runner in what I imagine to be the most badass Super Nintendo game like atmosphere possible. I'd also like to note many of the buildings and areas of uptown are reinforced with vibranium alloy and naturally more durable than most buildings in the earlier 21st century. So if a rampant wild hulk comes in from the Bad Lands and throws a car at such a building... it would absorb the impact without as much as a scratch and the thing would crumple and fall to the downtown areas below to cause whatever damage to those poor folks...
