I haven't read the recent IC posts yet, so I don't know what actions you guys have taken.

Generally speaking either you or the opponent will make a move that initiates actual combat.  I planned on having the Zathii charge you.  You would respond in turn, explaining if you counter-charge, brace, retreat, or give specific orders like giving ground.  I would respond afterwards detailing the results: whether or not your counter-charge succeeded, if your lines break/hold, etc.  You would respond again, and so on and so forth.

It probably sounds confusing, but I can assure you it'll be pretty straight-forward after the first battle.
