Also a WIP on my end, but I have the powers/skills, weaknesses and appearance down for the new Iron Fist.
Character Type - Cannon Inspired Name - Xiaolong Kai Alias - Immortal Iron Fist Age - 19 Social Class - Downtown, Midtown, or Uptown? Allignment - good Archetype - Human Powers -Chi Manipulation- By manipulating his own life energies through practices learned in K'un-L'un, Iron Fist can enhance his strength, reflexes and agility to mildly superhuman levels, encourage his wounds to heal faster than normal and sense the flow of energies chi energies and with focus other types of energy around him. K'un-L'unan physical conditioning-After a decade of training in K'un-L'un, Xiaolong's body and senses have been trained to the peak of unassisted human capability. In addition to his supreme physical fitness and highly tuned senses, Xiaolong's training has allowed him to develop full control over his body's functions, allowing him to achieve feats like deadening his sense of pain, slowing the effect of poisons on his body, controlling his body temperature to endure extremely hot or cold environments, or slow his body's vital functions to the point of entering a near-death state among other feats of physical control. Chi of Shou-Lao-The most important power of the Immortal Iron Fist is access to the Chi of Shou-Lao. After defeating the dragon guardian of the mythical city of K'un-L'un, Xiaolong was mystically bonded with it and gained access to its boundless, fiery chi. The first and signature power this grants is the Iron Fist, the ability to concentrate a portion of Shou-Lao's chi into his hand in order to make it temporarily invulnerable and capable of striking with massive force. Xiaolong can also use the Chi of Shou-Lao for less destructive purposes, channeling its purifying energies into himself or others to heal them and purge them of foreign ills. Skills - Master Martial Artist: Xiaolong has mastered all of the martial arts of K'un-L'un and many of Earth's martial arts as well and is incredibly skilled at both armed and unarmed martial arts as a result. Stealth: As part of his training in Ninjutsu and in the general curriculum of K'un-L'un, Xiaolong became fairly well-versed in concealment and infiltration. Multilingual: Xiaolong is fluent in English, numerous Chinese dialects, Japanese, French and German thanks to tutors in K'un-L'un and rigorous study and meditation on certain chapters of the Book of The Iron Fist. Some Technical Knowledge of Magic: Growing up in the mythical city of K'un-L'un with its own ancient magics and abundance of fantastic creatures and sorcerors means that Xiaolong has basic knowledge on magical subjects and lore, though he has no ability to use magic himself. Weaknesses - Otherwise Normal Human: Xiaolong is a normal human other than his unusual natural and supernatural abilities and can be injured and killed by conventional weaponry as easily as any other human being. Limited Capacity of Chi: Xiaolong's natural human chi is usually finite in nature and drawing on it exhausts him the more he uses it for superhuman feats. Similarly, Xiaolong is at a point in his training where repeatedly using the Chi of Shou-Lao puts potentially dangerous strain on his body. Incomplete Immortal Weapon Training: Xiaolong's training as the Immortal Weapon of K'un-L'un is incomplete as he was sent out into the world without fully mastering the secrets within the Book of the Iron Fist. As such he only knows the basics of his own powers. Naivete: Xiaolong was raised in the ancient mythical city of K'un-L'un, and thus has little understanding of the outside world other than what he's gleaned from the Book of the Iron Fist. Arch Enemy - Depending on what we get in the villain department... Appearance - art not mine, but it helped BRIEF Bio - Xiaolong of the K'un-L'un noble house of Kai trained all of his life to become the greatest martial artist of his time and face the dragon, Shou Lao the Undying. Xiaolong succeeded in defeating the immortal beast and plunging his fists into its molten heart, but before he could begin his training in earnest disaster struck. the mystical city's sorcerer ruler, the Yu-Ti, sensed a great imbalance of evil washing over the mortal world. This began reflecting itself in K'un-L'un as crops withered and children and the elderly fell sick with mysterious diseases. So as many Iron Fists had done before him, Xiaolong was ushered out into the mortal realm to correct the balance. As he stepped foot out into the icy snows of the mountain range that hid the gate to K'un-L'un, he found an escort from the Rand Corporation already waiting to meet him, set to transport him to Nueva York as part of a protocol established by former CEO Danny Rand in case of any stirrings from K'un-L'un. Now, on retainer with the Rand Corporation as a 'private troubleshooter' but still unsure of what sort of trouble exactly he's meant to solve, Xiaolong has been forced to navigate an entirely different world from the one he left behind.
