[@Member 00492] Okie dokie, so I just have a few things. First, mostly didn't have a sample post since I didn't see you have a sample post for your sheet. As GM I figure you'd probably want to nail down your sample post to show the other players what you would like their sample post to be. It is generally pretty lame to whip up a post out of thin air without anything to work off of you know? But sure I can get one up fairly quick. Second, If everyone seems happy about playing around street level maybe just roll with the punches and do more street level focused things? Third, I don't see how your Justice League roleplay really should effect how the players should build characters for this one? I mean THE Nicholas Grey is a celebrity DUE to his stellar racing fame.
1.) I never said anywhere it has to be for this RP, could just as well be an excerpt from another RP post you had written. Most people don't ask but I never say anything if they simply link me to a good post they'd written. I just have to know you can roll with an idea if I throw something at you. A good writing sample can make or break the best CS. Too many times I've accepted people into RPs without a writing sample for them to come at me with "I don't know what to do with my character..." It's great if it's in-character with the RP, but it doesn't have to be. 2.) I'm actually rethinking my character now. Even though he's powered down wielding Ronan's hammer rather than the real Thor's, I've been tinkering with ideas here and there for less powerful characters. Blazing Skull, 3D Man, and now that I notice the Defenders in the roster I may go for a spin on Punisher... or somebody similar like Laughing Mask or the Destroyer. 3.) I just draw comparisons to the character in my other RP because he's all about the product and the gimmick cars and gadgets. I just don't want to see the same thing with your guy here. I get that racing is why he's famous... so let me try and give you an example. Dwayne the Rock Johnson: He got famous because he was a wrestler and a champion. However when he started making movies... he kinda stopped wrestling and is still a MEGA celebrity. He's the biggest action star in Hollywood right now. Does a lot of his own stunts. He's gonna be playing BLACK ADAM in the Shazam movie. Grey can still be an incredible wheel man... I just don't want him to have gimmick cars and the like out of nowhere. He can wear whatever equivalent to a Nike logo they have in 2099, but I don't want him to be a walking infomercial. Generally when I'm GM'ing more than one RP it's usually because I want something else out of the other RP. If Aquaman and Plastic Man are prominent in an RP thats DC themed, I'm less likely to accept somebody using Namor or Mr. Fantastic in a Marvel themed RP unless they're vastly different. If everybody from my JLU RP who applied for this used the same type of characters as the other game it wouldn't work for me [which in my mind would be a black version of A-Bomb or the Hulk, the daughter of the Lizard rather than Killer Croc, and the business suit Moon Knight... which honestly does still sound cool...]. I just wanted to tell you what I'd like to see with this type of character if you're gonna follow up with a writing sample of some kind. I still like the concept of a corporate hero, just don't be a sell out. -00492
