Name: Norifumi Rambachartchai Nickname: Rambo Age: 20 Nationality: Thai-Japanese Appearance: Fighting Style: An unorthodox hodgepodge of classic boxing, Pancrase, shoot wrestling and Muay Thai Record: Rambo has a combined professional fighting record of 7-12-4. All of his wins are from Muay Thai matches. All of his losses and draws come from boxing and kickboxing. His current MMA record is 2-7-1. Weight Class: Lightweight Height/Reach: 5'7"/69 inches Background: Norifumi Rambachartchai was born into a family of fighters known as the Ramba Clan! His mother Mari Ramba was a Judo bronze medalist in the Olympics. His father, Eagle Ramba, was a former WBO Asia-Pacific bantamweight boxing champion. His three older brothers, Shinsuke, Klahan, and Awutkiet have also made a name for themselves in the martial arts community. Shinsuke followed in his father's footsteps and is currently the WBO Asia-Pacific Welterweight champion. Klahan is following in his mother's footsteps and is currently training for the Thai judo Olympic team, and Awutkiet runs an MMA gym under the family name - working with a number of solid contenders and soon-to-be Muay Thai and regional MMA champions. And then there's Rambo. The juvenile rebel, misguided and irresponsible. He was once touted as a fighting prodigy, praised for having a natural fighting instinct that only the great ones possessed. Unfortunately, Rambo did not take his profession as serious as his family did. He assumed the role of the entertainer and fought like a showboating clown. Rambo quickly went from budding prospect to sideshow journeyman. The skill and talent were there, but Rambo's commitment to the fight game came second to earning a paycheck, which never lasted the week. Rambo eventually had a falling out with his family. He ended up traveling all over the world with his promoter, bouncing around gyms and fight venues, losing money more than making it. After he spent sometime in the states building up his lackluster MMA career, an American reached out and invited Rambo to his fight academy. It was All-American UFC Hall of Famer, Dan Green. With the funds drying up and standing at a proverbial crossroads, it didn't take long for Norifumi to accept the offer. Other: Rambo is basically a fighting meme. Known for his flamboyant ring entrances and 'jazzercise' footwork where he bobs and weaves and playfully banters with his opponents and referees. These antics usually cause him to get disqualified, and if he escapes the fight without penalty, the judges are rarely kind to him on the scorecards. The nickname Rambo was given by a western media commentator, who kept butchering his name when he was calling one of his fights.
Hope I can join in. Looks fun!
