She wasn't even sure she disagreed with it. She did go alone, and she could have waited for help, or gone to get help at any point. But this was where Dulga and Mina were fundamentally different. Dulga went hunting with family, and learned the value and important of teamwork at an early age. Mina's mom spent most of her career fighting the bag guys alone, and Mina herself was so desparate to escape her mother's legacy, she even outright refused when her mom offered to take her out to fight crime as a sidekick. The prospect of being a sidekick to her famous mother mortified Mina at the time. She didn't want to be 'The Heroine Mina; Daughter of Seductress'. In fact, she didn't want anyone to ever think of her and Seductress in the same sentence once she was a Hero, unless it was to remark that they were surprised to find out Seductress was the mother of a Heroine twice more famous and well known than Seductress ever was. Mina wasn't even comfortable with the idea of even taking on a sidekick herself when she was older, because one day they might overshadow her too, and it will be her fault. Besides, they'd be slowing her down. Waiting for Lysander today would have also slowed her down. If she was to overtake her mother and train to become a better Hero in just three years, Mina could not afford to be slowed down. "My mother, Seductress, never needed help to defeat a criminal," Mina started to tell Dulga, a newfound fury in her eyes, though it didn't seem to be directed at Dulga, "and I plan to break out of her shadow, and climb higher than she ever did. If I ever needed to rely on the help of other heroes to beat an enemy, when my mom didn't, that would be the day I quit being a Hero. I don't want to be almost as good as my mom. I don't even want to be as good." Mina was now standing, looking down on the sitting Dulga. Maybe it was a little directed at her. I'm going to be better, or die trying." Mina ended her speech abruptly, and marched off towards her dorms. [@Norschtalen]
