Local Time

Barracks: There was a knock at the Lord Majors door before it opened slowly. Peter peeked his head in and smiled at his uncle before stepping in fully. "Uncle, just wanted to give you an update on Vera," he said as he shut the door behind him. He normally wouldn't have disturbed his uncle while he was working, simply waiting until he crossed his path later that day but he was sure that the Lord Major would want an update on Lady Munn's condition as quickly as one could be given. Stepping over to desk, leaning on his cane as he walked, before sitting down across from the elder Keystone. "She was examined and seemed to be perfectly fine now. She is going to the museum for a meeting she has. Miss Ridgeway is escorting her over there," he said as he rested the cane next to the chair. "I am sure that if anything else arises that Miss Ridgeway will inform us post haste. She seems like a delightful young woman and a good friend to go with Vera. Though I wonder why that Drake fellow is lumbering around." There was a wash of relief that came to Aziza's features as Harry sat there holding her hand and comforting her. Assuring her that he wouldn't let anything happen to her. Yes the Lord Major had offered to help but this was different. It was not that she didn't think that the Lord Major could offer her protection but for some reason she felt calmer and more at ease with a tint of hope when Sgt. Walsh said it. "Thank you Harry," she said in a soft voice. She couldn't help but to gaze into his eyes before looking away shyly. "I am very lucky to have met a kind man like you," she added quietly as she cupped her free hand over theirs laced together. "No one ever make me safe before. Thank you." Her eyes slowly came back up to his and she smiled softly. She didn't know why she felt so safe around him but she did. It seemed no matter how worried or upset she got, he was able to put her mind at ease. Why couldn't more people be like him? Museum: The guard opened the gate and let them pass, making sure to return anything they had taken from Mr. Drake when he had entered. "Yes, the walk should do me good," Vera said, trying to keep her attention towards Lauren even though William was there with them. She had been feeling better but she found herself light headed and nervous now. Why she had no idea but she did her best to avoid eye contact with the man. The thought crossed her mind that he was only coming with them to either try to get to know Lauren better or to try to get information on another dig site he could violate. The thought of him treasure hunting used to set her blood to boil more than anything but now it was nothing but an afterthought. The thought of him flirting with Lauren made her unconsciously grit her teeth. Her mind was so focused on that, she didn't even notice the curb and went stumbling forward in her usual clumsy way. Catching herself she let out a huff as she smoothed the folds of her skirt and pushed her curls back from her brow. The door of the museum opened and Mr. Khons, the museum curator came out quickly. "There you are! Glad you found her," he said as he looked over to William. Vera froze in her tracks. "Found me?" she asked confused. The curator nodded and explained how he had been looking for her since she never showed up for work this morning and that he had asked Mr. Drake to check the barracks to see if she was there. "You were there to check on me?" she asked surprised as her eyes went over to Williams for the first time since they had left the barracks. Road To The Prison: "Yes, Interrogation. We have many questions for you both. The man apprehended last night has brought forth some very interesting things to light. Things that must be accounted for. Worry not, we will get to the bottom of this," the representative of the prison said before turning his attention back forward. The driver started speaking in Egyptian Arabic to him and the two carried on their own conversation as they headed towards the prison; paying the two in the cage no never mind. Seemed none of the guards were paying the two much attention other than to make sure that they weren't trying to escape and that everything stayed locked up tight. The corporal was following behind them, least someone that wasn't prison related was going to be there with them. Maybe he would end up annoying the people of the prison enough to just send the three of them on their way without any issue. That was if he didn't annoy people so much he got locked up himself. Only time would tell. The Road To The Museum: "Oh that sounds like fun," Rosheen said brightly. "Oh where are my manners," she added as she caught the sight of Mosi out of the corner of her eye. "This is Mosi, new arrival to Cairo," she said introducing the woman to the others. "Hello," Neema said as she smiled at her. "Nice to see someone found your little place instead of traipsing through the center of town," she added before looking over to Nora. "I guess we should be off, wouldn't want you to be late for your brunch meeting,"she said. "Oh an appointment? How nice, you must be excited to go back to the museum. Hopefully they have some of the items you discovered down in Thebes," Rosheen commented. Neema nodded but kept her attention on the cat for a moment. "Yes... it would be," she said half way paying attention. The cat had stopped eating and was staring at Nora intently. "Well that's interesting," the old woman said quietly as she glanced from the feline to Nora and back again. She had noted the various cats around but that could be passed off as just curious cats in passing. This one had a gaze locked on the Lady of Science.
