Eh? Hm? What was this? The wisp like entity that currently made up itself was entirely lost, in terms of time and space. It remembered... nothing. No not a failure to remember, rather actively remembering that there was nothing TO remember. It wasn't a wisp though. It shouldn't be anyway. It was missing something... but what? It looked around to find no help, in fact it just raised more questions. The red sun. The wisp stared at the infernal light confused and for some reason feeling afraid. Then a quiet voice seemed to ring out, it turned to face the source. A girl like nothing it had even seen before... or at least it thought it hadn't, was the orgin. It started at the girl as it continued to speak. Thoughts raced through its mind like a snowstorm, everyone thought questioned as to where it came from and what it meant. She was called Nera. What was itself called? It could not find the energy to voice the question. She understood it's questions and answered them at least in part. A lost soul. It looked down at it self. An apt description, it almost felt like smiling if it could only remember how. In response the goddess's question it managed to make a quiet reply, nearly more question than statement, [sub]"yes."[/sub] So the little wisp followed Nera, doing it's darn best to keep up with her ground devouring strides. As they moved along it felt more and more out of place. Lost souls did not belong here, of that it was sure. That fearful red light still cast its dreadful radiance on everything. They arrived as was evident by the slightly different state of the area here, filled with purpose and more upkempt seemingly than what they had been walking through. Then Nera left to gather other lost souls. In the brief time she was gone it felt even more afraid of that peverase hungering light. It was not long however before she came back with other souls. Of course that didn't mean things got much better. It only an instant Nera became a terrifying reaper, holding a piece of metal that that seemed cruel and unrefined. In that moment it was sure Nera had simply brought them here to kill them, to devour them for some sinister purpose of her own. Then it stopped. It shuddered as it was finally able to move and Nera kept talking. It seemed they could ask questions and some of the other lost souls take advantage of the opportunity. It thought. She seemed apologetic for making them afraid, although that seemed a little insincere in light of what she had just done. However as Nera spoke it became slightly more reassured. When she came down to talk to them it became aware of more details. How old she must be. Though it's understanding of time was rough at best, it could somehow understand that forever would not be long enough to describe how long this goddess had waited. It formulated it's thoughts into a question, but another soul spoke up, asking what had been its own thoughts. This Nera, she was surely infinitely more powerful then any of them, so what could she possibly need them for? For what reason had she gathered them. Nera had said she was a dreamcatcher once, were lost souls then just dreams? Perhaps... they could become something else? Something more than just... "It"s? A phrase popped into it's head. Tabula Rasa. That's what they were. They weren't nothings, rather than just hadn't become somethings yet. Because they hadn't become something could they become... Anything? Nera said she was once weak yet she seemed so very scary now. They were going have to fight. Nera had said they'd have to kill things. Kill things like her. It would be dangerous, she had said so. It did not know how to feel. It didn't want to kill things but... It was perhaps not opposed to the idea either. After all, Nera had brought it here, without her help it would have surely wandered aimlessly, until perhaps it came across a thing like Nera but not as friendly. Troubling thoughts, or at least they should be. How was it supposed to feel when it barely remembered what feelings were, or how they worked? It would simply have to do the best it could to understand as things happened.
