I'm partial to magic brign something that generates from the inside,but at the same time being different for each race. 

For instance, humans being more adept at manipulating Chi, while Elves dabble more in nature magics, while still Beastkin magic manifests as physical enhancments. The point of us running magic is that any race has the capacity to learn other races magic, if they have access to it be it scrolls, rituals, etc.
