There was little more than half an hour until she was due to meet Lady Munn and Nora couldn't help but hope they would be nearing the museum shortly. She would really hate to be late and hold up Lady Munn. It wasn't just in poor taste--it was disrespectful to be tardy for an appointment with a woman of books and learning. The cat's stare unsettled Nora, with the amateur cryptographer clutching her hands together, one hand wrapping subtly along the branded thumb. Neema had warned her to show extra kindness to cats, given that they were symbolic for Bastet, the goddess that supposedly had chosen Nora. It felt quite silly as she locked eyes back with the cat and she bit her lip, uncertain as to what to do. Some part of her wanted to ask the cat why it was staring at her--yet it would have been childish to do so. Cats couldn't talk. But again, she also previously believed that cats did not stare in such a manner. Today, just like the day before, was bound to be filled with illogical surprises. "Why are you staring at me, kitty?" Nora asked, her voice quiet as normal. She didn't expect the cat to give a response of any sort, but it also wouldn't have been the strangest thing to happen in the last twenty four hours. With any luck, it would all be coincidence and the cat wasn't staring at her at all.
