Name: Dominic Bentham Alias: Azazel Age: 25 Gender: Male Appearance: Sandy-blond-haired, with brilliant yellow-green eyes. Decently fit (not a bodybuilder by any means, but clearly someone with an active lifestyle). Caucasian. Lean in appearance, with an almost absurd number of burns and scars over his body. His features are generally thin (narrow nose, angular face, etc.) He's of about average height, and a bit underweight, due to his semi-nomadic lifestyle. Wears a loose sweatshirt with a hood that's big enough to shadow his face, and long sleeves to hide his scarring. Personality Strengths: Dominic has a near-debilitating love for mankind. He's an empathetic man who has a lot of faith in people, despite his difficult background. Perhaps his greatest strength is his drive, his motivation to survive and aid others, despite the constant pain that can be caused by this attitude. Personality Flaws: Dominic is severely self-conscious of his appearance, as most of his skin is marred by the scars of injuries which he took onto himself to save others. He's also fairly blunt in conversation, which often leads others to believe that he dislikes them, despite this often being exactly the opposite of his feelings. While he has a lot of faith in people as a whole, he has a bleak outlook on life, as he's seen the world beat him down time and time again. Powers: Any injury sustained by Dom can be transferred to another person through skin-to-skin contact. He has slightly increased pain tolerance, and his ability works both ways; he can also heal others by taking their injuries onto him. The caveat here is that injuries can only be transferred directly: for example, a broken arm could not be turned into a broken neck on someone else. He's also incapable of growing back limbs, and any injury to his person still leaves a mark, and sometimes a phantom pain. To give a scenario: Someone shoots Dom in the left leg. If he tries to transfer the injury to someone without a left leg, it won't do anything, and he'll still be bleeding. Any blood lost will have to be recovered through either transfusion or the body's natural healing processes. Once he manages to pass the injury on, he will be left with a scar as though he had healed naturally, and the person it was transferred to will have the full effect of having just been shot. If the bullet lodges in Dom's arm, and then he passes his injury, his flesh will heal around the bullet, and he'll probably get lead poisoning. Skills: Major: Survival skills (Dominic has kept himself alive through difficult circumstances for several years. This has endowed him with a sense for when to cut and run, and when to stay and fight.) Reflexes (Being on constant alert is rough on the nerves, but excellent for staying on your toes. Dom is not easily caught off guard.) Hand-to-hand combat/brawling (This fighting method is practical for attaining skin-to-skin contact, and as such is conducive to Dom's ability. It's also rarely deadly, which is a significant benefit to someone as soft-hearted as Dom.) Minor: Numbers (No genius by any means, but mathematics come easily, simply due to basic college classes.) Urban navigation (learned by necessity, as he survived on the streets for quite some time.) Singing voice (Not much to say here. He's pretty decent at singing, though he rarely makes use of this skill.) Weapons: Switchblade (mainly to create injuries to pass on), empty Ruger handgun (for intimidation purposes). Equipment: Backpack with most necessities, quality lighter, crappy tent that is basically his only home. History: Dominic's life has been, up to this point, difficult. A college dropout, he lives in a tent in a secluded part of a city park, and works whatever jobs he can find to keep afloat. He's conflicted about hero-ing, as he's a deeply compassionate man, but his ability hurts a lot to use, and he hasn't really seen it have any positive effect on his city. Most of his hero-based activities are simple acts of vigilantism, which he does while carefully dodging real authority figures. His lack of any permanent connections also grants him a certain degree of freedom in his actions. Dom first realized his ability when he drew his mother's bone cancer into himself in order to cure her. It wasn't an intentional act, and while he passes the damage from the disease into others as a weapon of sorts, he still carries the disease itself, as he refuses (from a moral qualm) to pass cancer on to anyone. After a suspiciously unfortunate house fire, Dom was left homeless, family-less, and on the streets. He joined Rogue X as a last-ditch effort to improve his lot in life. Theme Song: Hurt (Johnny Cash)
