Kat has always been the adventurous type. She heads off whenever she hears of a new supernatural sighting whenever she could, and worked to keep them away. This adventurous side has gotten her in trouble before, and combined with her hot headed nature, that was never a good thing. Katsumi has a temper, and this has gotten her in trouble with people of authority before, as well as with other hunters she might have come across. Her determination is what keeps her going. She wants to get rid of all supernatural beings, and will stop at nothing to achieve this goal.

However, she can be seen to be on the impatient side, especially since she is still a teenager and is young. Kat usually tries to rush things along, not caring about what could be possible consequences for it. She is loyal to anyone who is lucky enough to have her friendship, and will stop at nothing to protect them, especially against anything supernatural. Her age once again comes into play, as she can be seen as impulsive, rushing head on into things without truly thinking about what she is doing.

She was born in a small Japanese farm town called Shirakawa. Her town was at the base of the mountains, so she spent a lot of her time exploring her surroundings. Her parents thought her strange, and constantly tried to keep her away from other people. They didn’t want there to be any rumors around their family. Her older sisters were the traditional, good Japanese women, but Katsumi never wanted anything to do with that.

When she was 6 years old, she started becoming a martial artist. Learning how to become a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. She did this training in secret, her family never knew about it. Constantly wandering, she needed a way to defend herself, so by the time she was 12 years old, she was a master at it. Her father kept yelling at her on a daily basis, trying to make her see what was going on in town, and how strange she was compared to everyone else. She didn’t care, and she started paying attention to what was happening in the world, outside of her small town. 

When Katsumi was 15, she noticed that there were strange happenings, constant events that couldn’t be explained. Katsumi explored into these events, researching these events, and trying to figure out what could cause them. This brought her into the world of the supernaturals. When Kat learned about them, she was determined to stop them. Innocent people were getting hurt, or killed because of these creatures. There was one problem though, most of the events occurred in the United States, and her parents would never let her go. Over the next year, she started making preparations to leave Japan. She spent the money for a plane ticket, and even made the preparations to immigrate to the US. That same year, she went with her family to Tokyo, but she wouldn't return with them.

Katsumi broke away, and boarded a plane bound for Los Angeles, California. She didn’t look back as she boarded, and left for the US. When her plane landed several hours later, she got off and went through immigration services. No one asked about her family, and eventually she got her green card. She looked around and learned she needed to get to the state of Washington, since most occurrences happened there.  She joined a travelling circus, and learned how to throw knives. She is pretty fluent in English, but occasionally, it sounded weird. She moved into the town, hoping to track down the supernatural population.
